LOU TRINDER, veteran of both D-Day and the Russian Arctic Convoys.
Lou became something of an icon over the years he supported the annual Arromanches commemorations, his neatly trimmed white goatee setting off his distinctive and proudly worn white berret now on display in the beautiful new Musee du Debarquement on the seafront.

5 family members, no car, no tour-guide lined up.....

A new presentation for a new era.

Have a look at the stunning "Infinity Pool" effect which takes your eye from the beautiful new public space in front of the Museum and out to the remains of the Mulberry Harbour.

Arromanches seems to be at one with the sea,
and able to breath deeply....

Happy New Year to all our friends, from Normandy Beach.
Last night I sent many of you an image of a 6yr old little Ukranian girl looking at the star in the NB big lounge, taken by her mum.
Her Mum and Dad were with us for dinner, and were on video calls with Grandma and Grandfather, and Mum's sister who has just given birth to a little baby in Kiev.
We watched the fireworks and at the same time we watched the live link chats with our friend's family as Putin's Missiles flew overhead.
The little girl's favoiurite playground in Kiev was destroyed a few months ago while the family was living with us.

So - just in case you (understandably) thought the message from me was Spam or worse - It wasn't.
There's enough NB bits in the image to be sure it was taken in the "Place de la Bier" and the "Maģic Beer Fridge"
