After a week in Italy it’s time for us to explore a new (to us) area of France - the southern French Alps. Stunning views along the way and a fabulous hotel for the night.

Back in the UK after a few very hectic, but thoroughly enjoyable, days in Paris. Eight different sports at eight different venues. 15,000+ steps a day in up to 35 degrees. All very well organised and easy to travel around.

With our first guests of the summer enjoying Mimarmel it is time for us to head back to the UK but not before a return visit to Bayeux where the shop windows have been beautifully decorated to commemorate the 80th anniversary of D-day

It’s been a busy week behind the scenes at Villa Mimarmel with a new bigger and better sand filter and pump for the swimming pool installed. It’s also much quieter than the previous pump.

Watching the commemorations reminds us of our visit to the British Memorial in September 2022. The Queen had just died and the flags were at half mast.
