The lake was last drained in November 2019 and a stock take was taken.

The lake
Etang du Planchon is a friendly carp fishing destination within the Haute-Vienne region of France, near the lovely market town of Chateauponsac which has bars, restaurants and shops and is 30 minutes away from Limoges Airport.
This beautiful four acre lake is set in a ten acre estate and is a secluded and secure venue which caters for a maximum of three anglers, you can book on an individual basis or Exclusive lake hire basis, licensed for day and night fishing where no permits are required.
This is the perfect destination for first timers to France, novice or well seasoned anglers. You can be assured of a very warm and friendly welcome at a venue with superb facilities and great fishing.
LAKE
Etang du Planchon is a beautiful and secure four acre lake set in ten acres of tranquil countryside. The lake surrounding is mainly laid to lawn with an area of woodland and has stunning views through the valley.
The Lake is fed by two streams and a natural spring which provide good water levels all year round.
Fishing is permitted day and night, maximum limit of 3 anglers with 3 rods each.
The lake has 4 spacious swims in total, 3 swims will be used at any one time.
Bait boats are allowed on the lake and can be hired on site.
Tackle Hire and Meal packages are available.
LOCATION
By Air
The hassle free option is to fly directly to Limoges Airport where you will be chauffeured from and to the airport. The venue is 30 minutes from the airport.
By Road
The journey takes approximately 6.5 hours from Calais.

FACILITIES AND ACCOMMODATION
Anglers Facilities
There is a dedicated anglers comfort and refreshment area which is open 24/7 where you will find tea and coffee making facilities, a fridge-freezer to store your supplies and a sink. There are power sockets with English extension leads for charging your mobile phones or camera batteries.
For those not wanting to "bivvy up", or if you choose to bring your partner or family, there is the option of staying in the luxurious fully furnished Gites overlooking the lake, which have their own private entrance and are available for an extra charge.
Bathroom and Shower
There is a toilet, shower, basin and mirror available 24/7 within the anglers area which are cleaned daily. The shower and basin have hot water available day and night.
Dining
Should you opt for the meal package, home cooked Breakfast and evening meals are included and served in our dining area, inside the main house or outside on the sun patio overlooking the lake.
Breakfast
– An option of a full English/continental breakfast or a breakfast baguette served with tea/coffee and fruit juices.
Evening Meals
– A two course meal (main meal and dessert) prepared on site from fresh local produce. Individual dietary requirements and personal preferences will be taken into account.
• There is an option of a weekly BBQ should you prefer. All meat and vegetables will be prepared with home made marinades, plain or spicy, the choice will be yours!
Should you need anything that is not available on site, we can take you to the local shops or get the supplies on your behalf.
GITE ACCOMMODATION
The complex also includes a choice of two fully contained Gites, overlooking the lake, which can be hired and is ideal for anglers bringing their family, friends and partners.
