🍎 You have to try the local Calvados, it’s a cultural activity after all… Look out for this sign 👉when you drive in to La Haye du Puits, it will take you to Pierre’s farmhouse where his family have been growing apples and making Calvados, Pommeau, Cidre and juice for many many generations.
And trust me he is very generous with the tasters!

🍎 Cidre, Pommeau, Calvados.. make sure you sample all the local apple drink delights!
Inside scoop…When you head in to La Haye Du Puits, you will spot a sign for Calvados.. follow it! It will take you up a tiny lane to Piere’s orchard and farmhouse, where the family have been brewing apple delights for 3 generations.
Just ring the bell, and I promise you a warm welcome and very very generous tasters!
Which is your fav… ?I definitely vote Pommeau, think golden warming alcoholic honey 😋.

🍪 AMAZIN’ Du Biscuit AKA La Maison du Buscuit!! A winter fav to visit.. it’s the hungry months after all, so what better place to prepare for hibernation with literally every delicious treat you can dream of!!
And who doesn’t love a place that welcomes you with choccy tasters you must try!!
Perfect place for picking up yummy souvenirs and pressies, enjoy!

🛍Wednesday is Market Day…La Haye Du Puits is bustling every Wednesday morning, definitely recommend a local shopping spree if you are staying then!
Think all your essential French treats, bread & pastry stall, local fruit, veg and plants, crêpes, and of course a mobile cheese van and much much more! 🧀 🥖 🍎 🍯 🍰

🔨 Just found this Before pic..Woah can’t quite believe what a “project” it was, would I recommend it to anyone, no… but was it worth it YES!
So this is the lounge with no ceiling or first floor, so you can see all the way up to where the main bedroom is now… when you stay you will recognise the original cupboard and the giant beam, apart from that it looks pretty different thankfully!
Are you thinking of a do-er upper?? ⚒️
