I've finally visited the Brittany American Cemetery in Saint James where 4408 Americans rest in peace and 500 names are written on the tablets of the missing.
Several months ago I had the privilege of being part of the Easy Company tours with the NWWII Museum where I visited the Netherlands and Luxembourg American Cemeteries, therefore it was time for me to go to the one that is only two hours away from where I grew up.
It truly is a beautiful and peaceful place.

Last Sunday was my first tour of 2025!
And it was a great start as I had the pleasure of guiding the lovely Winkler family
Even though we were cold all day long, we had a really nice time nonetheless.

The past couple of days I had a wonderful time guiding Michele and Hermon. Hermon's father went through Normandy to continue the push towards Germany. Michele's grandfather : Joseph John Hudsco, was an engineer, he landed on June 10th with 9th Infantry Division and their job was to cut the Cotentin Peninsula.
In the many villages they liberated, there was my grandfather's who was 12 years old at the time.
Joseph was killed near St Lô by friendly fire on July 23rd.
I am always grateful when family members of soldiers who fought to liberate my homeland trust me to guide them.
This photo was taken in front of Valognes's church. Where I shared with them a part of my family's history during WWII.

Last week I spend a lovely day on the British and Canadian sector with James.
Talking about history is of course the most important thing on tour but as a French it is really important to have a good lunch as well... And we enjoyed a delicious...Fish&Chips!
We ordered it because James had spent the previous couple of days touring with my dear friend Magali who lovingly mocked the Brits for always ordering Fish&Chips in every country they travel to😅
Plus we had the best of both worlds : fresh local French fish and a British recipe😁

Still catching up with my delayed fb post, still a couple of weeks ago...
It was a lovely day with the Lalithraj Family.
We had a pic-nic on Omaha beach where I tasted some delicious Indian speciality, even though some where a bit too spicy for my Normand palate 🥵...
I captured this beautiful family moment when they all were bared feet in the water❤️

Well I am way behind on my social media posting🙈but better later than never😅
This tour was a couple of weeks ago and I had lots of fun with the Hobson family!
I had to post a picture of their rental car because they named it Claude as it was an older car.
When you're a tour guide, you're never bored 😅

Last week I had the privilege of being part of The National WWII Museum 80th anniversary tour!
I had a wonderful time with the "Dream Team" remembering, honouring and celebrating the men and women who fought to liberate my homeland 80 years ago.

2 days ago I had a lovely day with a Spanish /Puerto Rican couple, her grand father fought in Normandy. She told many stories about him and Puerto Rico during WWII.
This is the beauty of guiding, we can also learn so much from our guests.

It is always something special to guide family members of soldiers who fought to liberate my homeland.
On D-Day, Jamie's father, Major A.A.K. Rugge-Price, landed at 7.30am on Sword Beach, he was squadron leader in the 13th/18th Royal Hussars.
Nearly 80 years later his son came back for the first time were he landed...
I am truly proud to have been able to take this photograph with Jamie.

Last week I had the pleasure of spending 2 days with Martyn, Jamie and Charles . 3 long time friends whose fathers fought during the Battle of Normandy.
Their fathers were in different Armoured regiments, they didn't know each other but they all fought during Operation Bluecoat.
Martyn's father landed in Normandy on June 28th with the Grenadiers Guards Armored Division.
Charles's father landed on July 13th with the Lothians and Border Yeomanry.

Yesterday I had fun guiding a American and French Family, Philippe,Jeanne and her kids Amelie and Theodore and for her 1st time in Normandy, her aunt Geri. Big crowds for a great weather ☀️

Yesterday I was touring with Charlie, Halley and Gilroy, who's next to me on the pic...he ressemblance with my late grandpa was troubleling at time but we did have a beautiful day ☀️

I had a lovely day with Deborah and Frank!
I need to perfect my ussies (yes I have watch Ted Lasso!) because trying to have everyone, plus the Umbrella❤️, plus the sculptures which they have seen in 2019 in the UK during a ceremony with British veterans just before it arrived here....well we don't see Frank so well🙈
