Kids organized themselves a show for all the parents of the Domain. It was a bit messy but so so cute 🥰!!!
We hope to have that more often this summer 😀

"Maison forte de Reignac" is a nice visit next to les Eyzies. It is a medieval castle built into the cliff. There are lots of troglodyte houses/castles along the Vezere and Dordogne rivers. There are some we can visit in Belvès.

Nice surprise for breakfast to have Ballons flying over Peyrecaty.
We’ve done it last summer and it was a wonderful experience to fly over the Dordogne. If ever you want to do it in the summer, don’t hesitate to send us a mail and we’ll call and organize it for you. 😀

Castelnaud is a castle 🏰 13 miles from Peyrecaty. It is a great attraction for adults and kids. It has been really well restored and have an exhibit of evolution of weapons (kids love it🤩). And finally at the top there's this wonderful view on the Dordogne Valley! 😍

Last summer we tried a balloon trip over the Dordogne valley, it was a wonderful experience.
The scenery from up there is breathtaking with a sea of clouds and castles all over the place 😀 The best is to get up really early in the morning to have the sun rise and the morning fog, but it's worth it!
Peyrecaty is often on the Balloon route so it is not rare to see some in the sky during the summer.

Brand new super king size beds just arrived at Peyrectay !
We decided to change every adult beds with 5 star hotel mattress. Because we all love a good sleep for our holidays 😀🥱😴

We love canoeing down the Dordogne valley in the middle of all its castles 🏰 and medieval villages. We did it 4 times last summer ☀. We really look forward to doing it with you and all the kids every week next summer! 🚣‍♂️

We spent all fall bargain-hunting for furniture with character. We then sanded ‍👨‍🔧 all of it to repaint‍👩🏻‍🎨 some and varnish others. We much prefer antique furniture rather than Ikea’s. They are much better quality built, and after a nice restoration it looks fabulous.

Most of this is to refurbish and redecorate Le Manoir. It's our biggest gite 🏠: a huge and beautiful house for 11 people. We took it off of our website until we’re able to take new pictures of the redecoration and put it back on (we hope really soon). We visited Beynac castle.🏰 It's wonderful on winter sunny days ☀️, the castle is completely empty and the views are breathtaking. We can see the whole Dordogne valley and most of its castles.
If you're up for the climb, I really recommend it.😉

Here are some pictures of the village of Belvès in winter. 🍁 🌨❄ It has been elected one of the most beautiful French village. We can’t stop looking at it from the garden, even in winter it looks so beautiful.

It was snowing on our first day in Peyrecaty !❄️ Roofs and cars were covered in wight. Cintya was so happy (in never snows in Brazil). We unfortunately didn’t have enough snow to make a snowman. Next year maybe. ⛄️
