Abbaye de Cadouin Cloisters, fantastic. Nice and cool on a hot sunny day. The sun dial was so accurate on its timing, amazing.

Thankyou to all of the lovely guests that have visited Le Coutal this summer and had a great time.
We’ve just had a couple of weeks holiday here ourselves with lovely friends, such fun. Now back to our normal chores with the advantage of a great view for a further few weeks.

Preparations for the summer season are going well. Garden is looking good and new liner for the pool is in. 3rd June week still available if you fancy some rest and relaxation.

Happy 1st May.
Apparently the custom of offering muguet bouquets on May 1st goes back to medieval times, but it wasn't officialized until 1561, when King Charles IX offered the flowers to every lady in his court to celebrate 1st May. And so this lovely gesture became an official French tradition, ushering in the spring season.

Time for a dip now the pool is open. A refreshing 24 degree water temperature, not bad for mid May.
