Avec Antoine de , nous avions rendez-vous ce matin à l’Office de tourisme de Bordeaux, pour présenter notre projet de visite guidée autour des trois pont de Bordeaux !

En collaboration avec Julie Perez de , nous vous proposons une balade commentée de 3h30, pour découvrir à vélo les nouveaux aménagements urbains de la métropole, mais aussi les deux rives historiques bordelaises !

Yesterday I had the chance to meet with this lovely couple from the U.S., who booked a private bike tour of Bordeaux!

With my partner , theae two lovely blue bikes were delivered at their hotel in the center of Bordeaux. Very comfortable, can provide electric bikes, or regular ones, with all the equipment’s necessary to enjoy the tour 😊

👉With my clients, we planned a custom tour, to see Bordeaux’s highlights: , The Quinconces square, the famous , but also the old Bordeaux with its .

🚴🏿‍♀️Crossing the river by the , we then had the opportunity to explore the right bank of Bordeaux and see the lovely Angelic parc with its botanical garden :) 🪴 ⛲️

🧁🥮☕️We couldn’t finish the tour without trying the famous “ cannelés of Bordeaux “, a delicious sweet pastry made with rhum, vanilla, and egg yolks 😋.

✨Did you know..where the term “ Guinguette” comes from ? ✨💡👀

💡Usually this term is used to describe a small popular cabaret, outside, where you can enjoy nice food & dance 💃🏾🕺🪩

💡It comes from the word “ guinguet”, used to describe a sour and well.. not really good & cheap wine usually served in those establishments 🍷😅 .

💡It also comes from the verb “ ginger”, which can be translated into “ dancing & jumping around “😎💃🏾

🌞 With those nice sunny days coming up, how about trying some nice bars & Guinguettes in Bordeaux & its surroundings?!

I am moving out! 👀😁

A few days ago, I had the chance to discover the beautiful Le Vieux Château du Cros thanks to my friend and colleague Marie Geeky Tour , who gave me a tour of the property. 🏰

This beautiful château, originally founded in the 12th c., is located 45mn down south from Bordeaux, in the " Entre deux mers " wine region, close to a city called " Loupiac " .😍

When I discovered the astonishing view that you get from its towers on the Garonne river, and the peace and quiet of the area, I have decided, after a long talk with Marie and the members of the association protecting the castle, that I will help renovating it, in order to move in, in a couple of months! 👏

It will be a long process, but it will be worth living like a princess! 👸

Throw back to the last reviews of this month! 💯

When I see those reviews, this is when I know that I love my job. 😍 I honeslty enjoyed so much those two different tours!

The first private tour of 3 hours was unique. Byron, that you see on the picture wanted to discover Bordeaux, from a local " Bordelaise " point of view. He wanted to possibly move here one day, so I showed him the neighborhoods that I loved the most, and that I would recommend living in.

We took the tram alongside the Pont de Pierre, and then crossed the river with the ferry ' Batcub" ! ⛵️

With the second group, their request was to see Bordeaux's highlights, but more focus on history and anecdotes. Claire was here with a group of PHD students, from universities connected to Bordeaux, from all accross Europe! 🌏

It was also very interesting to talk about the differences between our french university and theirs!

Thank you to all of them for choosing me to discover Bordeaux at their own pace!

Long time no see !!

Well well well.. i haven’t been posting in a while .. here is a little glimpse of my crazy month of January!

What happened ?!

🇪🇸Vacation to Sevilla : winter time for a guide is the time to rest, recharge the batteries but you can’t miss on discovering the heritage around you 😀

🏡 I recently moved out from my apartment and it is a long process (tips on decorating anyone ?!! ✌️😅)

👉 And today I helped organizing and participating into the General assembly of my Licensed guide association Association des Guides de Nouvelle-Aquitaine - ex AGICA and a professional breakfast this morning to welcome our partners !

Who said being a tour guide was being in vacation all the time ?!! 😂

Thank you to my association for always supporting our profession and promoting it.

Aujourd’hui j’ai eu de la chance avec le temps ! ✌️

Une petite éclaircie a rayonné sur .camp ☀️⛅️ , pour que mon groupe d’étudiants finlandais puisse profiter de ces rayons de soleil, lors de ma visite guidée!

Après avoir évoqué l’histoire du site et la genèse du projet, nous avons fait un arrêt incontournable au pour voir le skate parc couvert, l’un des plus grands de France !

Nous avons terminé la visite en rendant visite à , avec un des fondateurs, Emmanuel Cabané, qui nous a fait une petite présentation de sa chocolaterie et du concept “ Bean to Bar “ .

A little ray of sin shined on .camp ☀️⛅️, so that my group of Finnish students could enjoy these rays of sunshine during my guided tour!

After discussing the history of the site and the genesis of the project, we made an essential stop at to see the indoor skate park, one of the largest in France!

We ended the visit by visiting , with one of the founders, Emmanuel Cabané, who gave us a short presentation of his chocolate factory and the “Bean to Bar” concept.

Vendredi Dernier, c'était les 40 ans de l'AGNA !

Après quelques semaines de vacances au Sénégal, j'ai eu la chance de pouvoir retrouver mes collègues au Latitude 20 , dans la La Cité du Vin à Bordeaux, pour célébrer les 40 ans de l'Association des Guides de Nouvelle-Aquitaine !

J'ai eu l'opportunité de rencontrer les membres fondatrices de cette association, et échanger avec mes collègues guides-conférenciers de toute la région Nouvelle-Aquitaine. 👏👏

Merci à Association des Guides de Nouvelle-Aquitaine - ex AGICA de promouvoir et de défendre notre métier, et merci à notre présidente Agathe Corre pour son travail acharné toute l'année, ainsi que tous les membres du CA !

✌️ STORY TIME ✌️

I am back ! Cela fait plusieurs semaines que j’ai un peu délaissé ce compte pour profiter plainement de mes vacances au ..Sénégal ! 🇸🇳

Après plus de 15 ans d’absence (oui c’est long !) sur la terre de mes ancêtres, j’ai pu enfin revoir ma famille et visiter les 4 coins du Sénégal avec mon père (qui était le guide cette fois 😀) .

👉Dakar et son monument de la Renaissance Africaine, Joal Fadiouth et son île aux coquillages, mais aussi Saly et ses belles plages ..sans oublier de savourer les mets sénégalais avec ma famille ! 😋

📸 : Moi devant le plus grand Baobab du Sénégal, 32 mètres de circonférence, et à l’intérieur au moins 2 mètres de haut.

💡Le saviez-vous : l’intérieur des baobabs était utilisé jusque dans les années 60 comme cimetière pour les « griots » (un peu comme les bardes africians, dépositaires de l’histoire orale sénégalaise).

Les griots ne travaillaient pas la terre; aussi on considérait qu’ils pouraient la rendre infertile si on les y enterrait. Aussi, ils étaient disposés dans le creu du Baobab pour ne pas « contaminer « le sol.

À l’arrivée de Senghor au pouvoir, cette tradition jugée discriminante s’est arrêtée.

🙏🏾Le Baobab reste un arbre sacré, il est connu pour exaucer les voeux si on y pose les mains à l’intérieur…mais attention aux chauves-souris ! 🦇

Clap de fin pour cette saison 2023 ! 🎬

Il est temps pour moi de partir quelques semaines au soleil ☀️🇸🇳.

Cela fait bientôt deux ans que j’ai créé mon entreprise, Bordeaux Passion Tours. J’ai la chance aujourd’hui de pouvoir vivre de ma passion : transmettre le riche patrimoine historique et viticole de notre région au grand public. 🍷😀

Another day another excursion to Nouvelle Aquitaine!

👉Today I was on a tour with 2 lovely ladies from Canada to Soulac sur mer 🌊 !

Did you know? 👀 At the bottom of the pier you will find a small replica of the Statue of Liberty, inaugurated by the city in 1987, to commemorate the time when Lafayette left Bordeaux, passes by the Grave point and close to Soulac, on his way to The United States !🇺🇸

True or false : there is in Bordeaux another replica of the statue of Liberty in the Chartrons district. Answer in the comments down bellow ⬇️ 😀

Avant d’être guide « terrestre », j’ai travaillé pendant 2 ans et demi comme guide matelot sur la Garonne ;) 🏴‍☠️⚓️

Passionnée par la navigation et l’histoire du fleuve Garonne, je n’avais pourtant jamais eu l’occasion de visiter les Grands voiliers qui rendent visite aux bordelais tous les deux ans !

Cette année pour l’édition 2023 de la à Bordeaux, jai donc booké en avance une visite du !

👉Réplique d’un galion espagnol du XVIIème siècle, il a été construit entre 2009 et 2010 par la fondation Nao Victoria.

Back on track this week with my first guided tour of the season to the Médoc Vineyards ! 🍷

So glad to have had the opportunity to visit the lovely with my group of clients from US 🇺🇸, UK 🇬🇧 & Australia 🇦🇺!

I got to show them the Médoc châteaux around on a panormic tour bus, with stories, lengends..and fun jokes (I hope 😅).

Being a tour guide is definitely a nice job ! 🎇

Ce dimanche c'est pâques ! Le moment pour les plus petits de chasser les oeufs de pâques ! Mais au fait..pourquoi des oeufs à pâques ? 🥚🐇

Dans le culte catholique, en signe de deuil, les cloches des églises ne sonnent pas pendant trois jours. On racontait alors aux enfants qu'elles étaient parties à Rome, et qu ele Pape les bénit avant leur retour. Elles carillonnent à nouveau la nuit du samedi au dimanceh, annoncant la resurrection du chirst. On dit alors qu'elles reviennent avec des friandises... les fameuses cloches !

🇱🇷 Happy Easter week-end ! Time for the little ones to hunt Easter eggs! But by the way.. why Easter eggs? 🥚🐇

In the Catholic worship, as a sign of mourning, church bells do not ring for three days. The children were then told that they had gone to Rome, and that the Pope blessed them before their return. They rang back again on the night of Saturday to Sunday, announcing the resurrection of the chirst. It is then said that they come back with treats... the famous bells!

Aujourd'hui c'est la journée mondiale de la santé.
Prendre soin de sa santé mentale est physique, reste primordial pour bien fonctionner. Aujourd'hui je vous partage deux de mes spots préférés pour se ressourcer et recharger les batteries après une longue journée : deux spots de sunset à Bordeaux !

📍 La vue de Bordeaux et du Pont de pierre depuis la rive droite, quai des Queyries. Après un bon jogging, quoi de mieux que de s'étirer face à cette vue. Avec les journées qui se ralongent, c'est ici les meilleurs sunsets assurés !

📍 Les bassins à flots, dans le quartier Bacalan, un super spot aussi pour observer les couleurs évoluer, et pourquoi pas ensuite continuer la soirée aux Halles de Bacalan - Biltoki pour un afterwork ;) 🍷🍸

Taking care of your mental and physical health remains essential to function well in life . Today I share with you two of my favorite spots to relax and recharge the batteries after a long day : two sunset spots in Bordeaux!

👉 The view of Bordeaux and the Stone Bridge from the right bank, quai des Queyries. After a good run, what could be better than stretching in front of this view. With the days getting longer, the best sunsets are guaranteed here!

👉 Les bassins à flots, in the Bacalan district, also a great spot to watch the colors evolve, and why not then continue the evening at the Halles de Bacalan - Biltoki for an afterwork with some wine and tapas :) 🍷🍸
