Today I saw the most famous staircase in Bordeaux. At the beginning of one of my favorite streets, inside a gorgeous private mansion built to the plans of Victor Louis, architect of our Grand Théâtre, it is a technical masterpiece. A swirling structure with no obvious supports. It hangs in the air above your head! The Boyer-Fonfrède mansion on cours du Chapeau Rouge.

Beautiful early evening light at our Mill. Perfect with a rare (in Bordeaux) 100% Sauvignon Gris from a local lady winemaker. I’m looking forward to taking guests to her organically farmed property, as soon as again possible.
