Lovely sun and hot about to pressure wash my gates, two of them have green growth as they were in shadow. Other two are fine. One of each pair.

Gales terrible. My dish has blown in half so no tv!! Ridge tile blown down and broken a window box. Had a 4 hour power cut, luckily came back on at 18.30 just as it was getting dark.
Watched a pheasant walking/blowing across the road, then she tried to fly but wings seemed to blow inside out and she was blown over. Was driving so could not stop to see what happened.

Waiting for the plumber to repair a leak. He cant come till 24th May so can take no bookings till repair fixed. Water turned off completely.

Mowing my lawn, first time I have done in France. Used to do my little garden in London. This is a very big law and I am doing an awful job. My lines are not straight, I keep forgetting to push the button to start the blades turning, so do half a row with no cut. Mower is heavy turning corners. Have done 30 mins and am exhausted. Lawn is very uneven so makes walking difficult. My normal lawn cutter is away and the grass is so long! This is before a cut (not today) so you can see the size, plus the back part too!

Lovely few days. Hosted small drinks party with neighbours on Saturday, then Monday evening dinner with friends and father Christmas visited! Christmas with other neighbours for lunch. Felt so honoured as we were the only two not family.

Wonderful few days of sun here. Sea was 20 deg yesterday really warm. Children having fun in the garden on the water slide. Great Hardelot eventing over the weekend. Relaxing to watch.
