For anyone into off-road cycling, this event is amazing. The 15th edition of the Pass'Portes du Soleil MTB will be held the 29th, 30th june and 1st july 2018. Registration opens 10am 7th feb and will sell out very quickly.....

[Registrations] In a month, registrations are opening!! February 7 at 10 am, be ready in the early morning ;)

Chatel is a really easy resort to reach. It is around 1.5 hours transfer from Geneva Airport. There are lots of low cost flights from regional airports across the UK, in particular https://www.easyjet.com/ and https://www.jet2.com. A transfer from Geneva to Chatel is around £40 each way, one of many suppliers being Sk Lifts, https://www.ski-lifts.com

In the summer of 2012 I took part in the ‘Passport Du Soleil’, an annual mountain biking event.

I fell in love with the region and came back 2015 to ski and met a sales agent for a planned new apartment development just above the town centre and right on the slopes above the Super Chatel lift (see photo)

In July 2017 I picked up the keys to apartment 15 (which is in a complex called Residence 360) and then furnished it. It is a fantastic 3 bedroom apartment that sleeps up to 8. The complex offers easy access to the town centre (less than 5 minutes walk) and also has a sauna and steam room to enjoy.

Chatel itself is a fanatastic resort that is very charming and easy to reach from Geneva airport.
