Can you spot the Aiguille du Midi in the sea of clouds?
Cold but sunny up near the summit of Mont Blanc du Tacul this morning.
Acclimatisation and prep complete. Ready for a “Mont Blanc one shot” on Thursday 👍

Finished my ski guiding season with a superb day on the Grand Paradiso.
We went car to summit, had the whole mountain to ourselves and fresh powder to enjoy. A top effort from Rachel and Rich. Especially the bush wacking at the end 🥵
Straight into climbing and mountaineering next week :)

When your expecting a whiteout and get handed one of the best days of the season 😊
First day in @ski_trab land - the Ortles is delivering.

It snowed! In Italy at least.
Forgot what it was like breaking trail in powder. But definitely worth it, we went back for a 2nd lap.

Making the most of the sunshine and spring snow around Brevant and Flegere.
No ski touring kit, no problem. Just a LOT of boot packing 😂 well worth it though, some good snow if you worked for it. And the lunch spot was spectacular!

A big old day on the tour du Chardonnet with @joshuapuchalski & @catrinimperial
Lots of transitions, multiple boot packs, tricky skiing and solitude. When the weathers stable and the snow is safe, it’s good to get out and tick off a long route. The silver lining of the unseasonably warm weather we’ve been experiencing in the alps.
A top day guiding Josh and Catrin - looking forward to the next one soon :)

Good fun bashing around Grand Montet with father and son team Canada yesterday. Some really nice snow and quiet on the slopes. Love January skiing!

Bad visibility but top quality powder yesterday.
I’d take that over blue skies and bullet hard ice. Love a bit of storm skiing!
Blue skies and hard snow, or white out and powder? Preference? 😎

Unbelievable weather and great snow. Such a good day in the Aravis cruising through the trees and meadows.
Could do this every day of the week 😎

Laps and laps of Grand Montet today.
Good fun with strong ex-racer Bryan, couldn’t make his legs sore at all. Unless his poker face is exceptionally good 😎
A nice way to round out 2023.

Just enough of a top up last night to create a few pockets of soft snow at Grand Montet today.
Good guiding fun, and plenty of “whoops” from Ryan!

Ski touring up on the Argentiere glacier today. A right old mix of snow, but consistently amazing views 😎
Some totally inspiring ski tours up there, cooking up some projects for later in the season….

A first taste of off-piste for father and son this week. Lots of fun, and lots of crashing!
Nice open slopes and a low din setting 😂
