My dream come true, the cross country ski traverse of Hetta-Pallas is now confirmed!! I have fabulous fun team coming to Finland for this, why not come along?!

Book now for an Arctic adventure of a lifetime: a 60km wilderness traverse in northern Lapland, Finland over 4 days. We'll rent the equipment and get used to it forat before leaving the last road junction behind and heading out into the wild.

The fitness level required is average, but stoke level needs to be high 🥰🤩

No electricity, running water or restaurants. Just us, the snowy fells, the northern lights (if we're lucky) and the wilderness huts. A sauna every other night to warm up in, of course 😉

This is the peak northern lights season, plus the best weather for snowy Lapland holiday. And quiet, because the tourists have been and gone. They go and freeze their b***s off in Levi in mid winter, a time period when Finns would never head to the Arctic for a holiday 🤣

A few photos from the Maritime Alps, the Italian side of the French Italian border mountains in the south.

Autumn colours, plenty of fresh snow and beautiful steep mountains. Most importantly some quality time with my boyfriend who didn't even hesitate when I suggested this little journey for the weekend.

This trail as a loop to Bivacco Moncalieri is an adventurous variant of the Grande Traversata Alpi Marittime, an amazing wild hut to hut trek of the Southern Alps.

If you're looking for a next adventure into the mountains, just ask for a recommendation from your local guide. I am sure anywhere in the world you'll be surprised how beautiful, quiet and well maintained hikes are just waiting you to discover them 😍

Trekking around the majestic Chivetta is one of my favourite days on the in the Incredible scenery, lakes, good food and friendly people! I can't believe my luck I get to lead this now with .tracks

I get asked which trek I lead is the hardest. It's a difficult question to answer, as it depends how used to hiking outdoors are you!

This day is tough if you're not used to hiking on rocky trails, at times steep uphill & down. Can you keep your pace, not trying to sprint to the top even if others are faster?
Can you step on uneven surfaces, find the best route in the eroded trails and take biiiig steps at times?
My sporty pensioner crew of this week did better than many marathon runners, thanks to their lifetime on the trails 🤩

The most amazing clear morning on the hike above Courmayeur. Quick climb through the cool fragrant woods filled with birdsong got us to this rugged summit with the most amazing panorama.

These views just take my breath away with their rugged beauty!

What's more, I get to share this with new fabulous people who inspire me and allow me to explore the trails as if I was here the first time.

An Italian hiking day is not complete without a gelato and pizza 😉 Ending the day to relax in good cat company of the local bar was s bonus 😻

Super classic Ligrian trails in beautiful spring bloom.

I don't get tired to share the stories, history and stunning scenery of Finale Ligure.

What's also amazing how our different personalities direct our attention to different things. While someone notices the dried root systems of ferns in walls, another is exhalirated by the rock formations, or hidden historic (or prehistoric) treasures hidden in the woods!!

Beautiful spring in Valle Gesso, so we camped two nights up in the valley and climbed up past frozen lakes, high mountain passes and historic military buildings.

When it snows, the snowshoeing gets heavy. I do love this work that makes me sweat at times! My week in a lux chalet with supermarket deliveries are amazing bonus.

Life in Lapland as a snowshoe rabbit is much tougher, this one must have been starving, eating all the bark around this little pine.

Thanks for the photo Marisa, I loved the way you stopped me wading in fresh snow in strong headwind to say, now, this is a nice photo, stay there! Living in the moment!

I joined the perfect winter tour in the border mountains between France and Italy

There's so much beauty in these tugged mountains I have no words!

Incredibly the mountain huts are open also in February here, so we got to enjoy warm meals and soft beds, surrounded by the wintery peaks.

What do I do when I take holidays between hiking and travels? I go out in the mountains!! 😆 Classic Mountaineering on La Meije in Les Ecrins, the French Southern Alps. Fabulous snowy conditions and quiet mountains, we only met one other rope team on our route. Amazing mountain hut L'Aigle up at 3400m altitude offers warm beds and delicious meals to reward the arduous 1800m vertical meters climb up there. Thank you Bea!! After the summit, the 2200m descent is a breeze with all this snow ❄️ Well, I still feel it, haha! #HikeHowYouLike #womenwhohike
