Did you know about the Fontaine des Demoiselles? ⛲️

It's also known as the Fountain of the Young Ladies and is a beautiful modern sculpture fountain located right in the heart of Lorgues, a charming town in France's Var department.

The fountain was built in 2011 by a talented local sculptor named Jonathan, who wanted to showcase life in Provence through the eyes of three young women. One is facing the mistral (west wind), another one is facing the pluie (east wind), and the third one is facing the soleil (sun).

It's a wonderful sight to see and definitely worth checking out of you’re around the area!👌

We had a lovely afternoon visiting Sillans-la-Cascade after a good dousing of rain. The waterfall was thundering over the cliffs into the pool below and was just beautiful 🌿🍃

It does require a moderate level of fitness and mobility to get down into the gorge and back up.

The place is situated perfectly between Verdon and the Mediterranean Sea, surrounded by stunning hills and sea 🌳🌊

Before heading to Gorges du Verdon, Barjols is a must-visit place in Provence.
