The Ski Jumping World Cup 2024, marking the 33rd edition of the International Ski Jumping Grand Prix, is happening in Courchevel on Tuesday, August 13th, and Wednesday, August 14th. Featuring 110 jumpers from 15 nations.

The Eurostar service from London to Moutiers went on sale this week.

Running from 21st December 2024 to 2nd March 2025 it departs on Saturdays and returns on Sundays.

Details:

Travel Dates: 21st December 2024 - 2nd March 2025

Route: London to Bourg St Maurice via Lille, with a stop at Moutiers

Depart: London 0901 arrive Moutiers 1700

Return: (Sunday) Depart Moutiers 0850 arrive London 1557

Duration: 8 nights, 7 days of skiing (stay last night in Moutiers)

Tickets: From £119 each way.

It was a hot one today, so we took a little trip up the mountain to cool down! The La Tania bubble is open every day and is free. At the top you’ll find the Bouc Blanc restaurant. It has a lovely terrace where you can enjoy the spectacular views.

Can you name the chair lift in the first photo? It’s where golf is played in the summer in Courchevel 1850.

The lifts open from 6th July to 30th August. In the Courchevel valley, the following are open:
Praz
Verdons
Vizelle
Tania (which is free)

The Bouc Blanc restaurant (top of Tania bubble)is open in the summer, a great spot for some lunch or a drink on the sunny terrace.

SEASON 2024-2025
The lift pass company have just released opening and closing dates for next winter season 2024/2025.

La Tania and 1650 open on 7/12, a day after Courchevel 1850.
La Tania will shut on 13/04 and Courchevel Village, Le Praz and 1850 stay open until 21/04.
The ski pass categories have changed slightly for next year too.

There is no group discount price.
The Senior Pass (65 to under 75) is no more.

For Families:
Before the individual child passes were only available for children up until the age of 13. Now children until the age of 18 are also included.
For the Family Passes, before there had to be a minimum of two adults and two children, next season, it can be from 3 people; either 2 adults and 1 child, or 1 adult and 2 children etc.

They are also offering across all catergories, six days for the price of a five day pass.

Prices as follows for 3 Valley passes:

Adult (18 - under 75)
five/six days 395 Euros

Junior (5 - under 18)
five/six days 323.90 Euros

Family Flex Pass 1 to 2 adults maximum and 1 to 6 children maximum
Adults and children charged the same price
five/six days 323.90

Free passes for the over 75s for the Courchevel Valley.
Free passes for Children under the age of five.

The Saulire Cable car will also be running again next season.

EasyJet has announced new flights to Geneva and Lyon from UK airports.

Flights to Geneva: Starting from 18 January 2025, flights from Leeds Bradford to Geneva will operate twice a week on Saturdays and Sundays.

Flights to Lyon: Starting from 4 January 2025, flights from Newcastle to Lyon will operate once a week on Saturdays.

These new routes offer more convenient connections for your ski holiday, with fares starting from as low as £26.99.

We’ve got all the ingredients for a magical Christmas here in La Tania. The excitement is building, Father Christmas will be here soon! 7 more sleeps.

The sun came out this morning. 🌞La Tania is covered in a blanket of snow. We’re getting excited for the start of the season. Lifts open 9th December. ⛷️Get in touch if you’d like to be one of the first on the slopes this season.

The snow has started to arrive, snowing down to 900 metres this morning. Winter is coming.

What is the Best Ski Breakfast

What's your favourite breakfast when you're on a ski holiday? 🥐☕️ Will you be tucking into croissants and pain au chocolats freshly baked from the boulangerie (can be delivered to the chalet) Will only a fry up do, or maybe it's just a cup of coffee? My breakfast of choice in the winter is a bowl of porridge. A warming bowl of goodness to keep you going until lunchtime. Owner Sallyann will help you to organise your holiday from the word ‘go’, with detailed knowledge of La Tania and the three chalets, she will help you to make sure everything is ready for your arrival: special diets, ski school, transfers and so on. If there’s anything you need or want, just ask!

The Trois Vallées (or Three Valleys) covering Courchevel, Méribel and Val Thorens needs little introduction. It is one of the world’s most famous resorts, with over 600km of marked pistes and 200 ski lifts making it the largest ski area on our planet! The high altitude, many North-facing pistes and 1230 snow cannons ensure snow cover is maintained to optimal conditions throughout the season which runs from early December until late April.
