"Hullo Emma
Having a great time as you can see below. First rainy day today, but no biggie … not stopping us enjoying ourselves. We are currently going through the Arzviller lift which is an amazing experience. Incredible … now we are lifted up (or down) in our boat in a lift which, before it was built in 1968, used to involve 10 hours and 17 locks to get to the desired level. Now it takes 4 minutes!

Our trip is a joy. We love the different landscapes, villages, the early morning dash to the nearest boulangerie … many thanks for helping make it happen.
