We would like to say we've recently returned from a fantastic, relaxing break at "La Terrisse" thanks to the very warm welcoming owners Jo & Paul, whose holiday Gites are full of traditional French character, in lovely surroundings, which are ideally placed to visit several medieval bastide towns, châteaux, vineyards, markets, Jo & Paul's local knowledge comes into it's own here !, & (most reached within about an hour in any direction,) we will definitely be back, 🍷😎👍 (church at Penne d’Agenais)

Fantastic day out at the annual Fete Medievale at Monflanquin. Superb displays and costumes, a fabulous day for all the family. Plenty of stalls for buying, eating and drinking. A vibrant atmosphere for all to enjoy. Huge congratulations to the organisers. Looking forward to 2025!

Une journée fantastique à la fête médiévale annuelle de Monflanquin. Superbes expositions et costumes, une journée fabuleuse pour toute la famille. De nombreux stands pour acheter, manger et boire. Une atmosphère vibrante dont tout le monde a pu profiter. Toutes nos félicitations aux organisateurs. Nous attendons avec impatience l'année 2025 !

What a lovely surprise from our guests. They left thoroughly relaxed after a 2 week break, soaking in the local culture, gastronomy and, of course, our sun drenched pool terrace. It feels great to be appreciated for just doing what we do.

French patisserie at it's finest. Fabulous Salon de thé at Villereal which offers comfortable seating in the square but also a beautifully packaged take away option. An indulgent must!

Bastite Town, street market and fabulous brocante all in one day! Lectoure is a quaint fortified town which holds a large market each friday. The Brocante is a feast for the eyes with everything from an old key to a chateau door, to opulent art work. Impossible to leave without buying something 🕰⚱️🗝🪑

Fumel has been packed with Bastille weekend celebrations, including an afternoon of great fun with Soap Box racing. Great competitors, young and old and also some local business entries. Spectacular evening with fireworks going off with a bang!🎉💚

Tour de France comes to Fumel, literally 10 minutes from La Terrisse! What a spectacle, from the promo caravan through to the amazing cyclists 🚴🚵🚵‍♂️🚴‍♂️🚴‍♀️. They are so fast, blink and you miss them! The event was fantastically supported by local residents, Hopale micro-brewery and bar - who kept us fully hydrated in the ☀️☀️☀️-and the_Pils band.

If you fancy some superb wine tasting, we highly recommend Chateau de Chambert at Floressas. The Chateau has undergone some fabulous restorations and the view over the vineyard and Lot Valley is spectacular. While there, why not benefit from the newly opened restaurant, or for something lighter pizza/tapas at L'Everest.

Many thanks, Chateau de Chambert for your hospitality at you pre -opening evening. A great opportunity to taste your delicious wines and excellent local produce.
