Cosy Cabin on Lake Annecy

Location Information: On the superb shores of stunning Lake Annecy, our Cosy Cabin is situated on an immaculately clean & well equipped campsite La Nubliere. The campsite is safe for children with lot of activities - a playground, bouncy castles, table tennis & summer kid’s club with an animation program in the peak summer holidays. There is a new spa & water park available from June 2019.

The sandy beach is approx 250 metres from the cabin with direct access where you can find a children’s park, a volleyball court, restaurant/bar, picnic tables and a grassy area. For most of July & August there is a lifeguard on duty and several swimming areas are roped off by buoys with a jetty for the older ones to practices their diving technique.

Also at the beach new from 2019 is the ferry pick up and drop off point where you can catch the boat ride to Annecy.

Along side the beach is the port where you will find the Club Nautique. From here you can hire pedalos, SUPs, sailing boats, windsurfs, or motor boats ...etc. You can also take wake boarding, surfing or sailing lessons.

The location is idyllic as it is at the quieter end of the lake away from the bustling crowds that can sometimes be found in Annecy itself. There is small supermarket Vival on site and there are several restaurants in within walking distance - Le Plage at the beach, the pub Auberge du Boucanier, a Thai take away across the road by the tennis courts, several pizza take aways and one of our favourites on the water front is Chez Ma Cousine.

It is close to the small village of Doussard and in July/Aug there is a free navette to/from the campsite. There you will find a few more restaurants, summer markets on Fridays, post office, a bakery, the tabac, cafes & a small but very well stocked supermarket. The butcher inside is independent to the chain & we highly recommend you give it a try! The nearest larger supermarkets such as Carrefour, Lidl & Intermarche are approx 7 km away in Faverges.

The area is a mecca for sport enthusiasts with a cycle track circling the majority of the lake (shortly to be the whole of the lake). The track is approx 200 metres from the campsite. There is literally something for everyone - parapenting, hiking, swimming, sailing, kayaking, waking boarding/surfing, paddle boards, pedalos and numerous other activities. If that is not your thing and you prefer to chill out by the lake with a book, then do not despair as this is the perfect place to relax too! It is also next door to a nature reserve with a lovely track to walk along.

Cosy Cabin Description: Sleeps 5 max, a spacious 39 sqm, 200 sqm private garden, 2 bedrooms, a fully equipped dining & kitchen area, lounge with TV/DVD player, bathroom with shower, a small terrace, a garden with outdoor BBQ, and private parking spaces for 2 cars.
