La Cascade was named after the lively little waterfall that spills over a sluice gate facing the back of the house. It fills the rooms with its music, which is a complex medley of rumbles and splashings. La Cascade, a large three-story house, sleeps eight (not counting the apartment on the top floor which is a favorite of teachers), has a couple of riverside terraces, a cozy stonewalled living ro

om and a large sky-lit studio. Although the house is on a typical medieval village street, once you're inside it's a world unto itself. Across the river the hillside rises dramatically creating a dense backdrop of tangled brush and chestnut trees with their luminously pale blossoms. The hydrangeas that flourish along the banks of the river add a theatrical touch to the ramshackle charm of the old gardens. The houses on our street, when viewed from the front, present well-maintained facades, but the backs of the houses tell the real story with their exposed stone walls and huge beams blackened by time. La Cascade is full of the eccentricities from the vide greniers that are held in local villages. Each season we find something new to collect like, workmen's lunchboxes, puppets, or 19th century baby shoes. The photos we take on outings will kindle nostalgia for days of sun and laughter once we return, but the real value of a creative retreat at La Cascade is a deeper understanding of oneself as artist.

Bonjour and Hello to all friends of La Cascade
Hope you all had some nice events this year and you had some fun.
La cascade got some nice people visiting this year and some nice workshops happened as well, that was fun. Wishing to all of us, that next year it will be some more fun things going on in our life.
lets care of our body and mind, love and be peaceful with ourself, to stay healthy, because this is the most important thing to do if we like to have fun/joy in life, to recharge our energies.
I wish you all dears a Wonderful ending of this year, and a wonderful new start of the new year. Hope to see you soon in La Cascade.

Or you like to organize friends or family and come as a group and book a fun week, or may be you have other ideas !?
And we propose a Taxi service to the airport or the trainstation and for other excursions, like Albi, Carcasonne or Fleamarkets with a guide, in a van for 8 people (plus driver), or a car for 4 people plus driver.
Please have a look on the calendar of 2023 in our website , it is not full yet, but may be you can find your luck, you are welcome for new ideas, thank you for sharing.

this year la cascade is free like last year. no workshops happens. but because travel will be possible this year in summer, may be you like to come just to relax and have a wellness week, with some nice excursions or hikes /walks, massage , good food and wine /champagne, sightseeings, and some more other ideas you may have, don't forget our atelier to do some art.
you can come with your family or friends or create a group of artist and share the rent .
for right now all weeks free to book. thank you for your help.
we have a new beautiful Terrasse at the river, best place to be in summer. loves to all of you
