Maison des Fleurs in an 18th century cottage, renovated as a holiday home, situated in the beautiful village of Thezan des Corbieres, in the Languedoc area of Southern France. Thezan is an active little wine making village and is surrounded by vineyards whilst still being only 16 miles from the coast and miles of sandy beaches (44 in total). In addition there are three 'wild swimming' rivers all

within 30 minutes drive, one is only 8 km away. Appartement de Roses et de Vignes is an apartment situated in a wine makers 19th century domaine in the village of Ferrals les Corbieres. Sensitively restored to its former style with revealed beams, canopied bed and a Juliet balcony, the apartment also has a small private courtyard and, ten minutes walk away, a wild flower meadow and garden where you can relax in the shade of olives, cherries, quince and apricot trees. Thezan des Corbieres is a thriving little village with all the amenities necessary for a good holiday. There is a bar/cafe, a Grocery Store/Bakery and a Tabac - there is even a Brocante (Antique/Junk Shop) where you can browse and find that perfect French treasure for a souvenir and a Pizzeria where you can sit outside in the village square. Ferrals les Corbieres is a larger village with a Bank (la Poste), large grocery store, two hairdressers, a beauty salon and a Michelin guide restaurant. It also has a very popular bar/restaurant, Bembe's Bar where you can taste local foods cooked over vineyard wood on a barbque. Visitors to this area can enjoy all types of beach sports plus cycling, hiking, kayaking and diving, the area is also in the centre of the historic Cathar region of Southern France so Abbeys, Chateaux and Cathar fortresses abound. Two World Heritage sites are within an hour from both gites, the Canal du Midi and La Cite, Carcassonne.
