XVII century townhouse with roof terrace. ProvenceXVII.com Just meters away from several award-winning restaurants
This 17th century townhouse was built in the period of ‘XVIIème siècle’ and is positioned strategically just outside Flayosc’s Port de Paris, the original gateway to leave the village on the way to Paris. This Provençal historical farmhouse is a family home and has been thoughtfully decorated with rustic antique furniture to retain its cosy feel and original features, such as the stone stairs and tomette tiled floors, wooden beams, windows and roof terrace.
Positioned in the central square of the town Provence XVII is situated to enjoy all of the eccentricities of French village life. The Monday morning market is right outside the house, where you can buy delicious local cheese and meat, wine, olive oils, salts from the Camargue region and bread and cakes. During the summer months many musical events take place, from Jazz evenings, to Spanish guitar and local bands. During the winter cosy dining in the many restaurants open all year round is the past-time of the locals and visitors alike.
The village restaurants many of which are award-winning are known to locals who congregate with their extended families for lunch on weekends all year round. If you like steak then La Salle a Manger is for you, L’Oustaou family favourite is right outside the door, or try Le Nid Cuisine, Le Cigalon, La Fleur de Thym, or for more casual dining: La Famiglia, Le Mélissan, Cafe du Commerce, Cafe du Midi, Au Four a Bois for Pizza and many others all very nearby within meters of the house. If you prefer to eat at home then there is no need to cook as the local deli provides excellent ready-made delicious local delicacies and for your daily bread the two French bakeries have divine patisseries and a delicious variety of french loaves of bread, croissants, tarts and cakes. With two grocery stores, a fruit and vegetable shop as well as many other places to sit and sip a Pastis or glass of Rose in the town square what more could you desire. Or why not buy your own wine in one of the many award-wining Provencal wineries nearby and relax on the terrace or in the lounge and watch the sun go down.
