es, the property is also ideally located for visiting the many and varied attractions of the Pays de la Loire including the cities of Le Mans, Angers, Nantes, Tours and Saumur with all they have to offer. The cottage has been fully renovated and equipped to a high standard including cooking and dining facilities, whilst retaining as many of the historical features as we could. Unlike many rental properties, our furniture and fittings were bought new for the gite. Created from an old workshop, ground floor apartment and attic granary within a traditional 'Longere' Farmhouse which is part of a Lieu-Dit noted in the French Government Patrimoine (Heritage) lists; parts of the property are recorded as being built originally during the early 1600's, quite possibly during the reign of Louis XIV (The Sun King). The gite has a semi-enclosed rear garden, for the sole use of the gite occupants, a dedicated southerly facing 'Front Garden' area within the Courtyard and access to most of the rest of the surrounding gardens.
