Bois Mort holiday gites offer luxury accommodation in a charming, working farming hamlet in the rural Deux Serves department of Poitou Charente. On offer is a two bedroom former farmhouse (Maison du Maurice) dating from 1599 and a one bedroom converted goat shed (the Old Goat Shed), both self-contained. Each gite has its own terrace with outdoor cooking facility, also available, situated at the bo

ttom of the orchard for guest use is an above ground swimming pool and log fired hot tub. In addition, we also offer in our outside kitchen / dining area (the Golden Garter), home cooked meals and BBQs, using the freshest of local produce and home grown vegetables and fruit from the garden - all prepared by myself.

Dear chums and guests of Bois Mort, I just wanted to share with you all a few updates of what’s been happening here at Bois Mort. Firstly thank you all for following and all your support it’s been a very trying time for me here but we are 90% there just a few finishing touches left to do.. We will soon be making a few more changes, firstly the name… we will be changing to Bois Mort farm, it is after all where we are and gives folks who have not been here an immediate flavour of where they are coming to, secondly we are looking to make Bois Mort more retreat based or family get together/ reunion focused, cottages will still be available to rent individually, and children will still be welcome, but give that this is such a tranquil place we have again decided that children below the age of 12 will only be welcomed now as part of a family or group take over of Bois Mort farm , children above the ages of 12 will be welcome on an individual cottage rental basis, this is to ensure peace for all guests who come to this special place. We are still trying to get a new website together and have engaged a wonderful lady in Los Angeles of all places, next June when everything is finished and all the flowers are out and we are more photo ready we have a professional photographer in mind to make Bois Mort farm really stand out and look it’s best!. We will soon have an intermediate website available, So just about there, we continue to grow and evolve as a business and couldn’t do it without your support .

And so it begins….🫣… finally the preparations are under way for our new heated swimming pool, terrace and soon to begin our new venue for guests to eat, the pool house!!.. serving up coffee and pastries in the morning, pool side snacks and lunch and in the evening a relaxing place to come for dinner and drinks with family and friends…. To complete the perfect picture,a one bedroom converted dependence,once housing a goat,rabbits and a huge wine press! the Old Goat Shed Each gite has its own terrace or garden with outdoor cooking facilities, also available, situated at the bottom of the orchard for guest use is an above ground swimming pool and log fired hot tub. In addition, we also offer in our outside kitchen, home cooked meals and BBQs, using the freshest of local produce and home grown vegetables and fruit from the garden - all prepared by myself.
