Carp have just started to spawn around the island this morning. Sounds like the birds, especially the woodpecker is enjoying the show 😊
So upto yesterday this weeks guests had landed 40 carp with the biggest at 45lb.

So after yesterdays video of the trees in the left hand bay……
This is the ‘The Big Common’
Ade seems to catch this fish every time we are over.
They have a special relationship or so he would tell you…….. 🧐🤣
1)……….this carp has a sweet tooth - loves our Nutcase boilie (only used Nutcase this trip)
2) critically balanced hookbait in this case 20mm hardened bottom bait with 14mm imitation pellet (as pictured). Always seems to fall to a pop up
3) bait boat loaded with pellet and about 40-50 boilies over the top (as pictured)
4) top spot under the trees left hand bay
Larger hardened bottom bait and imitation pellet seems to sink nice and slow and works well. Also helps keep the nuisance fish away. Notice slightly longer hair rig 🎣👍
Loads of carp have been held up in this bay under the trees and often do in mega hot weather. Worth a bit of it stalking when it goes a bit quite and it’s this hot 🎣👍🌞
