Foussal is a family-run holiday cottage in the Dordogne, south-west France. Foussal Dovecote is the ideal romantic escape in the Dordogne, south-west France.

The former pigeonnier (dovecote) has recently been converted into a luxurious holiday cottage set in a 33 acre estate which includes a pool, orchard, wildflower meadow, woodland and riverside walks. With parts of the property dating back to the 14th Century the history, Foussal is a beautiful collection of buildings and grounds, situated just 2km from the popular market town of Issigeac. The cotta

ge includes a large double bedroom with French windows onto the garden, ensuite shower room, a spacious kitchen,and a living room in the pigeonnier tower with far-reaching views across the countryside. There dovecote garden is perfect for dining al fresco and enjoying the sunset with a glass of local wine. The orchard is well stocked with cherries, apples, pears, peaches, raspberries, and many other fruits. Next to the orchard is the pool garden; the pool is larger than average at 10m x 5m pool has a maximum depth of 1.60 metres. There is also additional seating in the pool garden - with sunloungers, parasols, and an outdoor dining table with a BBQ and picnic area adjacent.
