How was your Monday? Yesterday we took the day off from preparing the house for the holiday season and visited the beach at Les Conches.

Having a bit of a cold snap in France at the minute, but the sun was out and we pretty much had the beach to ourselves. We did have this majestic paraglyder pop in to survey the stunning views though!

Love traveling out of season.

Something a little off topic today, but as we had the best time ever, I wanted to share.

Yesterday evening we went on a twilight segway tour at Leeds castle with @

Absolutley amazing tour. The castle grounds are so pretty it's hard to keep your mind on the segway and the segways are huge fun.

Top tip definitely take some gloves though as it got very nippy.

I cannot recomend this enough. You won't be disappointed. Everyone left beaming😁

Ben and Denise were great fun as tour guides.

An interesting article on the increased cost of flights and hire cars. We would throughly recomend the ferry/eurotunnel and a drive. You can take so much extra stuff too!

Congratulations to on winning the 2022 Atlantic Pines Luxury villa's holiday photo of the year. Nicolas' photo was taken at our favorite restaurant in Jard sur mer. The prize was a Bodyboard from to use on his next holiday to the vendee coast, but he very kindly chose to donate the money to a charity of our choice. Inspired by Nicholas's endeavour to avoid unnecessary waste we chose to support with his donation. Their mission it to educate and reduce waste plastic in our oceans.

Flash back to another activity we enjoyed in the summer. Paddling the 3k course from Maison du marais we discovered the of the Vendée region. Such a tranquil experience and the green pond w**d was such an incredibly vivid colour😍

Watching Robi the robot clean the pool. Such a relaxing environment sitting round the pool listening to the bird song and watching the electronic help hoover the sand. Could be here for hours🤣.

Today I'll let you see a shot of our secret paddle boarding location. We got an early start in to enjoy the morning tranquility and early high tide.

Only a short drive from the house is a fantastic tidal estuary where you can paddle on the calm waters and enjoy the wildlife.

Happy to share the location with any guests on booking.🤫

Make sure you don't need to paddle against the tide when returning through as the current is quite strong.
