A difference between me and other gite owners?

I'm on the autistic spectrum and prefer to write things down rather than speak verbally.

So I accept texts, messages and emails but I don't accept calls.

I have tastefully renovated a conveniently located cosy cottage for two which is available for reservations from 1st May.

But first a little history about the property.

Nestled in a small hamlet once all owned by the same family our cottage started out as a bakery which began its transition around 1957 when it was converted to provide accommodation for the previous owners initially with a kitchen on the ground floor (in what is now the lounge) and with access via stone steps outside to bedrooms on the first floor.

As the family grew so did the property until the grandparents were sleeping in what is now the lounge (in single beds, one in each corner) and with the parents and three children in what used to be three bedrooms on the first floor.

I have then updated the interior introducing changes to provide a larger single master bedroom with adjacent shower room on the first floor and with a lounge and kitchen on the ground floor.

The bathroom used to be at the end of what is now the kitchen.

In the garden you will find two streams converging to power the neighbouring mill (in separate ownership) and a selection of fruit trees providing an abundance for visitors in the late summer months.

Locally there are large numbers of walks and cycle routes with the closest starting at the top of our drive.

Slightly further afield is Mortain (a haven for D Day visitors) and shopping for essential supplies is possible in Juvigny Le Terte just 5 minutes away.
