Dolphin Gîtes in Vendée Dolphin Gîtes is a well established family run, family friendly gîte complex on the coast in France. Nantes airport is an hour’s drive away.

Dolphin Gîtes is a friendly, family-run complex of 7 independent holiday gîtes, situated in 1.5 acres of private grounds, with a heated swimming pool, only 5 mins' drive from the beach. The complex comprises of 7 character gîtes of different sizes, all with direct access to the gardens and heated swimming pool. Situated in the delightful village of La Chaize-Giraud in the north of Vendée, only 5 m

inutes' drive from the superb beaches of Brétignolles-sur-Mer and 12 minutes from the impressive Grande Plage in St-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie. We are a few hours from the ports of St Malo and Le Havre, and only half a day’s drive from the port of Calais. Local beaches are only a few minutes away by car or 20 minutes by bicycle. But if you prefer, you can spend the day relaxing beside the swimming pool. Our largest gite (holiday house with 3 bedrooms) can accommodate up to 8 people and is ideal for a large family or two families sharing. Our smallest gite has just one bedroom and is ideal for a couple or a small family.

After 22 years of hosting at Dolphin Gites, and having recently sold the Stone Cottage, we have now decided to retire. However, we intend to continue welcoming family and friends over the summer, and pursue our hobbies of cycling, gardening and endless DIY.

We have limited availability in August, exclusively for 'Friends of Dolphin Gites', over the age of 16.

We would like to say a special thanks to returning guests, 'Friends of Dolphin Gites', for making the summers so enjoyable. We have so many wonderful memories, especially in the early years when our children were at an age when they directly benefited from friendships made. I know that Elodie, Luc and Tristan have a special affection for those years, often reflecting on times when swimming, camping, cycling and fishing, with friends.

We have hundreds of stories to tell, and so many funny anecdotes to share!
