THE GITE & FACILITIES
Gite de Renard is a two-bedroomed apartment taking up the whole ground floor of a detached villa on the edge of a village in the Haute Vienne area of the Limousin, France. It has a double bedroom and a twin bedroom, a large dining kitchen and a comfortable living room. In addition there is a bed-settee in the living room if you should want to squeeze in an extra body or two!
The Gite is fully equipped and the weekly charges include bedding and towels. There is a flat-screen TV with satellite to British channels and a cupboard full of DVD’s. There is also a bookcase full of a variety of English fiction & other books. In addition there are table-tennis bats and balls, a badminton set - and a variety of board games should the weather not be very kind! There is an electric cooker, fridge freezer, dishwasher, microwave and washing machine as well as all necessary utensils in the kitchen. OTHER SERVICES
There is an above ground pool which is available to share should you need to cool off! For those musicians on holiday who may experience withdawal symptoms from their instruments (!), It is also possible, for a small fee and deposit, to hire one or two acoustic guitars, a ukulele, mandolin and/or keyboard. THE AREA
The small, pretty village of La Chapelle Montbrandeix, has a church, Mairie and bar restaurant “Chez Joules” serving meals at lunchtimes and weekends (a shop is also being planned currently!). The Gite de Renard is surrounded by lakes and forests and is an ideal place to kick back and relax. However, once you have chilled, there are lots of things to do and lovely places to visit not too far away. DISABILITY
The Gite is on the ground floor which may be useful for people with mobility problems. Although we cannot claim the apartment to be fully disability-friendly there are few steps, wide doorways and there is a handrail for the toilet if needed. RATES
Our rates are simply:
High Season May to October £350 per week
Low Season November to April £250 per week
