Our Story
Hello, I’m Alain Brichau, owner of La Muse. In August 2019, John and Kerry Fanning (along with their three children Seamus, Fionn and Gloria – and dog Homer) moved on to new creative adventures and placed La Muse in my hands.
I first came on retreat to La Muse in 2010, and like so many Musers before and since, I fell in love with this place. Over the years, I’ve returned a dozen times as a guest to pursue my creative work. There is a spirit here at La Muse that makes this place much more than a building. John and Kerry recognized this and nurtured and protected that spirit for 18 years, letting it grow and change as it needed in order to be what it is today.
Now, I am honored to step into the role of caretaker of this very special place. Rest assured that I am dedicated to protecting the spirit of La Muse. Thank you for adding your creative spirit to La Muse’s next chapter.
