Lot of new people have discovered this page recently so I wanted to take this opportunity to introduce or reintroduce myself to everyone and to put a face behind my business. So, I’m Annette and I have been living in th

is beautiful part of France since 2006. I’m married to Jason and we have 2 cats! We made the move from Jersey to France to get out of the Corporate Rat Race and decided to get into the hospitality business – we were both from a customer service background in previous jobs. We found our dream home in the Vendée and spent 6 months bringing the two attached holiday cottages up to scratch. These became Le Vieux Café and L'Ecurie. After about a year, some friends approached me to see if I could rent out their holiday cottages too, and over the years, word spread in our local area, and I now manage around 20 holiday properties for owners who live around the world, but have properties here in the Vendée. I know all of the owners and properties personally, and visit them whenever I can, taking photos and updating descriptions. We love welcoming guests to our two holiday cottages, and I enjoy arranging the holidays for hundreds of other guests in properties around the Vendée. It’s such a lovely part of France and whenever guests arrive we like to make them feel at home. Lots of guests return year after year as they love the Vendée too! I have a selection of holiday accommodation to suit all needs - ranging from cosy cottages, beachside villas and large country houses for family gatherings and special occasions. All properties and owners are known to me personally, and all have caring owners that love to please their holiday guests. Standards are high and all properties have Wi-Fi; most have pools and gardens as well. All are child-friendly and many welcome dogs. ⚠️Prudence ce lundi et à mardi, le temps sera encore très agité en Vendée avec un ciel de traîne actif alternant entre éclaircies, nuages et averses parfois fortes. Elles pourront même prendre un caractère orageux mardi. Le vent sera toujours de la partie avec des rafales de 60 à 80 km/h (de secteur Sud-Ouest ce lundi et de Nord-Ouest mardi).
⚠️🌊Prudence sur le littoral car l'océan sera très agité avec de fortes vagues.

🌧️Mercredi, un nouveau minimum dépressionnaire va arriver par l'ouest donnant des pluies conséquentes et du vent de sud fort de 70 à 90 km/h. Cette dépression va se combler dans la journée de jeudi avec encore des nuages mais le risque d’averses diminuera au fil des heures. Le vent s'orientera au secteur Nord-Est.

Vendredi et le week end prochain, les conditions anticycloniques s’installeront mettant fin à cette période agitée et pluvieuse. Il pourrait rester des nuages mais le soleil devrait revenir (on surveillera la possibilité de nuages bas). Les températures seront en baisses.

Bonjour,
Dernière matinée sous les gelées en Vendée avec des températures qui atteignent fréquemment les -3 à 0°C ce lundi matin. Seules les îles gardent des températures légèrement positives avec +0.3°C à 6h30 à Noirmoutier et +1°C à l'Ile d'Yeu.
⚠️🌫️Prudence, des brouillards et nuages bas sont encore présents surtout sur le nord du département (nord de La Roche sur Yon / Aizenay / Bellevigny...). Cette humidité se dissipera pour laisser la place à un ciel dégagé pour tout le monde dès la fin de matinée.

Changement de temps dès demain mardi avec un ciel de plus en plus nuageux au fil des heures et l’arrivée des premières pluies faibles en fin d'après midi et soirée. Ces pluies seront accompagnées de douceur avec des températures en hausses atteignant la barre des 10°C.

La chronologie reste à affiner pour ces prochains jours, mais ce sont bien les perturbations qui seront de retour par l'Atlantique avec leur lot de nuages, de pluies et de vent.

En détail, une perturbation donnera des pluies mercredi au passage d'un front froid avec des températures douces puis en baisse en soirée avec la bascule des vents au secteur Ouest/Nord-Ouest.

Jeudi pourrait se produire une accalmie entre deux perturbations avec le retour de belles éclaircies et un temps plus sec.

Vendredi, une nouvelle perturbation (front chaud) pourrait onduler et arroser la Bretagne. La Vendée resterait à la marge avec beaucoup de nuages et quelques bruines, accompagnés d'un vent de Sud-Ouest sensible.

Le front froid de cette perturbation nous concernerait samedi avec pluies et vent avant qu'un ciel de traîne ne soit présent dimanche. Cette tendance encore lointaine demande confirmation ces prochains jours.

L'anticyclone est bien positionné sur la France ce lundi avec des pressions atmosphériques élevées de 1040 hPa. Il véhicule un flux de Nord-Est sec et froid nous garantissant enfin de belle éclaircies mais aussi de belles gelées matinales.

⚠️🌫️Prudence ce lundi matin à la présence de quelques brouillards givrants réduisant la visibilité localement.
C'est bien le soleil qui s'imposera pour tout le monde par la suite.
Les températures atteignent à 6h30 : -4°C aux Ajoncs à La Roche sur Yon et St Fulgent, -3°C à Bournezeau et Chantonnay, -2°C à La Mothe Achard, aux Sables d'Olonne, Mortagne-sur-Sèvre et Les Herbiers,-1°C au Perrier et à Fontenay le Comte et +1°C sur l'Ile d'Yeu.

C'est la matinée de mardi qui sera la plus froide de la semaine avec des températures qui pourront descendre localement en-dessous des -5°C, grâce à un ciel dégagé (légèrement voilé) et un vent faible.

Une petite faiblesse de l'anticyclone permettra à des nuages bas plus ou moins nombreux de nous concerner durant une partie de la journée de mercredi et jeudi avant le retour d'un franc soleil pour vendredi et le week end inclus.

C'est aussi la bonne nouvelle, il ne pleuvra pas jusqu'au 21 ou 23 janvier prochain au moins !

⚠️🟠Prudence ce lundi au passage de la tempête FLORIANNE aux fortes rafales possibles de 90 à 110 km/h. Ce vent est accompagné de pluies (voire même de quelques coups de tonnerre vers 5h30 du matin localement).
Le vent faiblira rapidement à la mi-journée avec encore des averses ponctuelles.

Ce régime d'averses se poursuivra en début de journée de mardi avant qu'une nouvelle perturbation ne revienne en cours d'après midi avec de nouvelles pluies. Ces pluies se poursuivront toute la journée de mercredi jusqu'à jeudi matin avec des cumuls sur l'épisode parfois importants de 15 à 30mm voire plus.

⚠️💧On surveillera attentivement le risque de crue et de débordements sur certains secteurs !

Le temps pourrait être plus clément jeudi en fin de matinée et l'après midi avec un temps calme et ensoleillé.

Ce ne sera que très temporaire car une nouvelle séquence pluvieuse est prévue pour la journée de vendredi.

L'anticyclone pourrait se réinstaller à partir du week end véhiculant un flux de Nord-Est plus frais voire plus froid. Les températures pourrait alors marquer une baisse sensible avec le retour de gelées matinales à partir de dimanche. Cette tendance pour le week end reste à confirmer ces prochains jours.

Our Story

This is the New page for Vendee Holiday Cottages - a great way to book your holidays in Western France. The company, managed by Annette Khan, has a selection of holiday accommodation to suit all needs - ranging from two bedroom country cottages, to beachside villas, or large country houses for family gatherings and special occasions. All properties and owners are known to me personally, and all have caring owners that love to please their holiday guests. Standards are high and all properties have Wi-Fi; most have pools and gardens as well. Many welcome dogs. If you are looking for a late booking - let me know your requirements and I will send you details of what is available.
