Welcome to La Boissière
The village of La Boissière stands out as an idyllic place to enjoy calm and serenity in the heart of nature. Our idyllic
village is composed of 5 houses surrounded by nature. A beautiful mansion of the 18th century, the house was completely renovated in 2012, keeping intact the “look and feel” of the original house. The inside is furnished so as to offer the maximum comfort to our guests. Main house of the hamlet, La Boissière is an old barn which history dates back to the early 18th century. A stone carved with the inscription “1762” originally stood at the entrance of the barn and is now embedded in the façade. The mansion was entirely restored in 2012 taking into account the foundation and masonry of the old barn. The stones are original from the previous house and were replaced following the model of masonry of the traditional Breton houses. Historians agree that La Boissière was a dependency of the castle of La Boissière that originally stood about 200 meters away. Vestiges of a roman villa can still be seen in several spots around the house. It’s in this location filled with history that we offer you to stay. La Boissière will stun you by the obvious harmony between the different elements of the neighboring nature: stones, flowers, trees, and animals are all part of the scenery. The house stands on the edge of a forest hosting centenarian oak trees and box trees. In the evening, roes, does, partridges, and foxes often venture in the garden, the latest being naturally fenced by numerous fruit trees such as apple trees, plum trees, and hazels. From the numerous windows and the veranda, you will have a sweeping view of the garden and the forest. Many of our guests are surprised to see olive trees and palm trees growing among many other flowers from Southern France. The house has two terraces with a full sun exposure all day long which allows you to enjoy the Breton sun as much as you want. Numerous outdoor activities are available in the Presqu’île such as hiking, sailing, surfing, diving, fishing, etc. For food lovers, the Presqu’île is the place to discover countless local specialties and our Breton restaurants will offer you new flavors to try. If you are a family, a couple, or even if you come by yourself, we will be happy to welcome you all year long and we guarantee you a wonderful time in the Presqu’île de Crozon! ABOUT YOUR HOSTS: couple from North of France, Mr et Mrs PINCHART fell deeply in love with Britanny and more especially with the Presqu’île about 30 years ago. Patrick was already aware of this earthly paradise as grand-child of native Bretons from Plougastel-Daoulas (small village across the bay of Brest). Brigitte got enchanted by la Boissière when she first visited the place. Together they bought la Boissière, then a charming abandoned house. Also together, helped by their 3 children, they restored this small piece of land at the End of the Earth. And it is together they will be dearly happy to welcome you!
