Our holiday home is in the village of Le Pin in the Gard Region of Languedoc-Roussillon, South of France.
Le Pin is a small village situated at the edge of a ridge of hills, surrounded by woodland and vineyards with stunning views over the Rhone valley and Mont Ventoux in the distance. It is a very peaceful setting with a traditional village wash house and a beautiful old church, the inside of which has been stunningly restored with artisans from Paris.
The house has 2 double bedrooms (one en-suite) and a further bedroom containing 2 single beds and bunks beds. It can comfortably accommodate 6 adults or 4 adults and up to 4 children. A travel cot and bedding and safety gate are also available.
We have been progressively updating the house over the last dozen years or so and it still contains a wealth of charm and character with exposed stone walls and oak beams and is well equiped with Free Sat TV, DVD and wifi. The vaulted living room is a cool haven from the summer sun and the kitchen is well appointed with everything you will need to rustle up those gourmet meals.
The outside is a safe enclosed garden containing a 7 x 5 metre heated swimming pool, built in BBQ and ample eating/sitting/lounging areas.
All bedding, towels and tea towels are provided.

It is well situated to explore the region, some of the highlights being:
o The Pont du Gard, a 2000 year old Roman aqueduct
o Orange and its Roman theatre
o Uzes, the first town in France to be awarded ‘Duchy’ status with its traditional markets
o Chateauneuf du Pape for its renowned wines
o Avignon, the home of Popes when they were exiled from Rome
o Nimes with its Roman antiquities including the Amphitheatre
o St Quentin La Poterie with its artisan pottery shops
We welcome well behaved dogs.
Local airports served by Ryanair or EasyJet include Nimes (50 mins), Montpelier (1 hr 15 mins), Marseille (1 hr 30 mins).
Eurostar runs a direct service to Avignon from Saint Pancras.
