Just 68km away, it's definitely worth a day trip if you're staying at La Chapelle, with its lovely restaurants, kayaking and boat trips, not to mention the amazing cliff top chateau to visit.

It's that time of year again when the cranes migrate north over the Chapel. Thousands have gone over today, chatting away to each other. I was lucky to catch these large birds using the drone just as the sun was setting.

We're getting the Chapel ready for our New Year's eve celebrations. There are two days to go, but with such a large space to heat, we need to start the wood burner now and turn on the radiators to ensure we have a cosy space in which to welcome in the New Year.
As for Icarus, it may look as though he's flying too close to the flames again, but luckily for him, this time he's just a reflection in the glass of the fire

Spring is definitely in the air. Warm sunny days and blossom on the trees.

What a great day to get out and about while Emma hosts one of her popular cookery classes. A visit to Issigeac market is always an enjoyable way to spend a Sunday morning, followed by a trip to the hilltop bastide of Monflquin.

Let's be honest, though. It was a chance for myself and the new love of my life to steal a few hours alone. She can be a handful, but once she's in the air, she tends to deliver! Drones are such fun!
