If you want to escape the chaos of your average overcrowded holiday destination where you are shadowed by brash sights, sounds and smells, then the serenity of Marseillan is ideal for you. With just 7513 inhabitants, the ville is encased by a glistening blue lagoon that houses a wealth of ocean life including oysters and seabass. Shellfish farming is one of the most active and fruitful participants in the contribution to Marseillan’s economy. Overflowing with historic delights and showcasing an abundance of ancient buildings, Marseillan is a generous offering of what France is truly all about. With an average temperature of 24⁰C and 300 days of sunshine a year, Marseillan’s climate adds to the magic of this place. Relaxation genuinely is a way of life in this exclusive harbourside town, you will spend your mornings resting under the early sun, sipping coffee and sampling the local bread whilst catching up with the newspaper. There are activities aplenty to be enjoyed during the daytime with kayaking, paddle boarding, water skiing, kite surfing and much more to get your adrenaline going on the beautiful harbour waters. If you prefer to take more of a peaceful approach to your day, then you can lounge and watch the world go by outside one of Marseillan’s tranquil harbourside bars or cafes. Tuesdays host a bustling market along the waterfront where you can browse the local food produce including fruits, olives, herbs and spices. During the summer months, Maresillan also hosts a craft market on Friday evenings. Night times can be whatever you make them with an array of establishments to suit anyone. Marseillan flaunts numerous restaurants serving nothing less than the highest quality cuisine. You can relish in the opportunity to indulge in some superb French fare. You can then wander down to partake in the unbeatable atmosphere of the discotheque or follow up dinner with some fantastic cocktails in one of Marseillan’s many bars. In true French style, wine is at the heart of Marseillan’s culture and it lays in the centre of Europe’s largest wine region. Your Marseillan experience will be complete once you have tasted the famous local drinks Picpoul de Pinet and Noilly Prat. Noily Prat, famous since 1813 for its production methods remains a closely guarded secret to this day. The apartment will be a key component in your Marseillan experience with its’ traditional French décor, outdoor swimming pool to wind away the hours in and gas barbecue allowing for relaxing evening meals. The apartment features three spacious bedrooms, one king-size and two double. Benefiting from both air conditioning and heating, the space is suitable for all seasons. The house is set up as three sleeping areas which are completely separate. There is a large lounge with lovely original French doors to the Juliet Balcony to the front and the terrace to the rear. Orange and Lemon trees grow on the terrace. There is a small dining area for six and the lounge has a Sky Television System. A spiral staircase leads upstairs to the main bedroom suite with a luxury bathroom and dressing room. There is a bath and separate shower. There is ample cupboard space and a small safe for valuables though crime has never been an issue in the village. The second sleeping quarter is a small flat with its own kitchen bathroom and sitting area. It benefits from air-conditioning and heating by the same source. The bathroom has a shower only no bath. The bed is a double of massive proportion- king-size. The house is suitable for two couples or a small family we cannot accommodate pets. The kitchen has a dishwasher fridge 4 ring hob and a Panasonic Dimension 4 oven. The kitchen is not extensive but it was built to suit our living style of eating out or having a barbecue. The terrace has a gas barbecue.
