A great new find in Brive - Le table de Sophie is a cute restaurant with an outside terrace around 100m from the city centre. Serving local produce, the exquisitely presented food from the lunch menu was delicious and great value at 25€ per head. What a way to while away a few hours!

We spent a lazy Sunday in Toulouse last weekend. Known as 'La Ville Rose' (The Pink City), it boasts a vibrant cafe culture that captivates locals and visitors alike. Nestled along the Garonne River in southwestern France, the city exudes an inviting ambiance perfect for indulging in the art of café-sitting!

Toulouse's cafe culture is characterised by its' charming terraces, historic squares and picturesque alleys and offers a plethora of enchanting restaurants, cafes and bars, which are often enhanced by impromptu concerts from local student bands. A perfect place for a city break, or a lazy Sunday afternoon when visiting the area. 🇫🇷🍷☀️

Fête de la fraise 🍓🍓🍓

My first visit to the annual Strawberry festival in Nabirat - people queue around the village square to buy slices of this magnificent cake - a fabulous concoction of whole strawberries, sitting atop a puff pastry base with creme anglais and a drizzle of syrup. C'est magnifique!

It was chin dribbling delicious eating it out of the box perched on a bench with all the other strawberry eaters! And an extra portion to take home for later :) 🍓🍓🍓
