A comfortable, quiet 2 bedroom apartment. Ideal for 2-4 people wanting a well-appointed apartment within easy walking distance of the sea, restaurants and shops in a beautiful old Riviera town much visited by our Victorian ancestors as well as by garden-lovers from all over the world. Many of their Belle Époque buildings still remain. The apartment has stunning panoramic views over the Mediterranean and the old town. Menton, on the French-Italian Riviera, is nestled at the very foot of the Alps on the Med, the French-Italian Riviera; a little piece of France on the coast between Monaco and Italy. Menton enjoys a micro-climate which offers sunshine in the winter as well as during the summer months. It is the centre of lemon growing in France and celebrates the annual Fête du Citron in February/March.
The séjour(sitting room)/dining area leads out onto large L-shaped terrace, which overlooks a beautiful garden and pool, is well equipped with tables, chairs and loungers so you can eat outside on the terrace, relaxing with a book and glass enjoying the view, as well as eating inside.
There is free parking on the Boulevarde de Garavan, 100yds from the apartment but proximity of public transport and the beach mean you do not need a car. Buses and trains nearby take you along the Riviera coast between Ventimiglia in Italy (5 minutes by train) to St-Raphael, via Monaco (10 minutes by train) and Nice (40 minutes).
Menton is known for its gardens, its Lemon Festival and for its numerous Belle Époque villas. The beach and local restaurants are a 5-6 minute walk from the apartment.
