Nontron is the capital of Perigord Vert within the Dordogne region. The town is very famous for the beautiful hand crafted knives that are still produced to this day. It is infact possible to visit the knife workshop and see the artisans at work. The town also hosts a knife festival in August each year.

The town itself consists of two tiers. Drop down to the lower tier to see the timber framed buildings and ramparts which are best explored on foot.

The château is looking fabulous as it is in the final stage of its' renovation.

Boutique Métiers d'Art de Nontron is well worth a visit. It is home to beautiful arts and crafts made by local artisans.

Perhaps enjoy a lazy lunch on the terrace of Pizzeria Les Bains Douches. Their wonderful pizzas are cooked in a traditional wood oven.

Pick up some local produce from the Saturday morning market and enjoy an apero in the square.

Very close by is the beautiful swimming lake at Saint Estéphe. An idyllic setting for all the family with a little foot ferry to cross the lake, food huts, a fabulous restaurant, Le Moulin Du Grand Étang and free canoeing and paddle boarding during peak season.

Cette charmante ferme peut accueillir 8 personnes et comprend 4 chambres.

Située en Dordogne du Nord, près du village de Mialet, elle dispose d'une grande piscine privée, d'une terrasse ensoleillée, de patios, d'un pool-house et d'un barbecue.

Le French Farmhouse Retreat - Chant Oiseau propose 4 chambres pouvant accueillir 8 personnes. Nous acceptons les animaux de compagnie, donc vos compagnons à quatre pattes peuvent également venir.

Cette magnifique et spacieuse ferme est nichée dans un cadre champêtre et bénéficie d'une grande piscine privée au cœur de jardins arborés. C'est un havre de paix où vous pourrez vous détendre et profiter pleinement de la campagne française.

Avec ses deux terrasses extérieures couvertes, elle est parfaite pour dîner en plein air lors des chaudes soirées, sous les étoiles.

Les enfants adoreront la Xbox 360, l'espace extérieur pour les jeux, la table de ping-pong et, bien sûr, la piscine.
