As some of you already know, unfortunately Château de la Basmaignée will no longer feature in the upcoming new series of Escape to the Chateau DIY. We filmed for 7 months last year and worked very hard to bring you our progress since series one, but Kindling media and Channel 4 have since decided not to use any of the footage, stating that we weren't interesting enough and didn't want to lower the tone of the programme. It's very disappointing for us, but when one door closes, another opens... And we have a lot of doors at the château.
