So far, the last tour of this season. It was a pleasure to guide the group of Linkhout War Visitors around the Verdun and Meuse-Argonne battlefields this weekend.

This morning a walk of Montfaucon with a family of ten. A lovely group of pensioners from Cunel.
Meuse-Argonne Battlefield Tours is able to adjust the walk or a daytour to your wishes and/or ability.

Montfaucon American Monument - under construction.
The Montfaucon Monument is located next to the small village of Montfaucon-en-Argonne in the Meuse region of Northeast France. The monument is about 20 miles northwest of the city of Verdun. It is currently under contruction, we wil keep you posted.

Preparations for Maarten's new book regarding the right bank of the Meuse in the Pen&Sword Battleground Europe Series. This photograph shows the view from Cote 304 to the right bank. The bulk of the German guns were situated on the Meuse-Heights, causing tremendous problems for the American Army advancing on Montfaucon and Romagne.

La majeure partie des canons allemands étaient situés sur la Meuse-Heights, causant d'énormes problèmes pour l'armée américaine avançant sur Montfaucon et Romagne.
