Les Capucines is a unique property built on the site of an old Roman encampment and is set in a tranquil village location. Surrounded by fields of sunflowers and a short distance to local shops, restaurants, cafés and bars, it is also just 20 minutes from the nearest sandy beach and busy market town. Being so centrally located, there is an enormous variety of activities and places to visit within

easy reach including; the historic old port of La Rochelle, the gorgeous island of Ile de Ré and the golden Atlantic beaches to the west; the ancient towns and villages along the majestic Charente river, including Saintes and Cognac, to the east; the Loire Valley, with its magnificent Châteaux, to the north; the beautiful rolling countryside of the Dordogne and the vineyards of Bordeaux to the south … plus everywhere in between! If you feel more like relaxing, there is a very large, terraced swimming pool which is surrounded by beautifully gardens and bathed in sunshine from dawn to dusk. In addition each cottage has its own barbecue (ready to fire up) as well as table and chairs for outdoor eating, with flexible dining facilities for up to 26 family and friends to eat together, either ‘alfresco’, under cover or inside.
