// SKI AREA UPDATE: A few dates for your diary if you’re joining us next week…

🚠 The Nyon ski area will close for the end of the Winter 24 season at the end of the day on Monday 1st April. Although the higher slopes of Nyon are super snowy today, the links have been closed for a little while and Domaine skiable et de loisirs de Morzine will prioritise the pistes of Pleney and Chamossiere after this date.

🚠 The Pleney area stays open, as scheduled, until Sunday 7th April and the beginners zone at the top, alongside the Belvedere lift and the connections with Les Gets are guaranteed until the end of the season. So, if you’re coming for your first ski holiday and you’re a beginner, you’re all set at the top of the Pleney 👍

🚠 Access to the amazing pistes around Charniaz and Chamossiere will also be open and access is via the Ranfoilly for the rest of the season.

🐣 The entire ski area is now PACKED with chocolate eggs for the Easter egg hunt this weekend. Don’t miss this!!!

Atlas Ski Co is looking to add a chef to our team for the 23/24 Winter season. Operating an 8-person apartment with a host, alongside our head chef, 5 days per week. Workplace culture is a huge part of what makes us tick with high staff retention and inclusiveness in the way we run our business.

We are also considering couples for host & chef in the property.

Chef roles with Atlas Ski Co. are live in or out, and are for 42 hours per week on French contracts.

Successful Candidates will;
• Have experience in a professional kitchen, private chef, long term chalet chef, or other roles that have relevance to our industry.
• Have a genuine passion for good food.
• Have exceptional organisational and communication skills, be courteous and always available to provide what the client is looking for, even before they know they want it.
• Be presentable, personable, professional, humble and outgoing and able to converse with any client or team member.
• Be adaptable to different situations and the differing needs of the clients and the business.
• Able to think on the front foot, be proactive and use initiative.
• The dates for this position are early December 2023 to early April 2024
• The right to work in France via an EU passport or Carte de Sejour is a necessary requirement

The package includes the following;
• Competitive wage

"How high is the Portes du Soleil?" 🏔️

We get asked this all the time. And with over 600km of piste, there is plenty of altitude in the Portes Du Soleil to ski, as well as panoramic restaurants to enjoy, you just need to know where to go!

At 2277m, Pointe des Mossettes is the highest piste/lift station in Les Portes Du Soleil - the top of Les Hauts Forts is 2466m, but you'd have to hike to reach it... Mossettes acts as a hub on the Swiss-Franco border, connecting Avoriaz on the French side to the Swiss towns of Les Croset and Champéry.

You can't visit Pointe des Mossettes without stopping by Cookie Cafe for a quick snack. With one of the best vistas in the Portes Du Soleil, and an amazing burger, just sit back and enjoy the magic of the Alps.
