Properly snowing in Morzine now!

Update from Morzine Source Magazine on the extended opening hours of the Espace Aquatique De Morzine and other non-skiing activities 👌

Until new snow arrives in the village, we’ll see a number of other activities and attractions reopen in , and to keep you entertained during your holiday. We get that you came here first and foremost to ski, but we’re lucky here in to have extra facilities such as a swimming pool, ice rink, etc for you to enjoy.

The Palais des Sports indoor ice rink will open Monday, Tuesday and Thursday between 10am and 12 noon and from 2pm to 6pm. Additionally it will be open Wednesday and Friday from 2pm to 6pm. Night skating takes place on Thursday evening from 8.30pm. to 11.00pm.

The outdoor skating rink in the centre of the village will be open from 2pm to 7pm all week, Saturday included.

The aquatic centre will open between 10am and 7pm, Monday to Friday. It will be closed on Saturday and open Sunday from 2pm to 7pm.

The tennis courts (including synthetic + 2 concrete courts) will be free to use.

The shuttle bus service around Morzine is also under constant review and will be adapted as changes are made to the ski lift operating times.

We will of course continue to share as much useful information on the ski lifts, the snow and other ideas to keep you entertained.

We’re collectively holding our breath in today as we await the official Le Tour de France route announcement tomorrow.

Could our village do the ultimate double and host the race again in 2023? Current rumours involve the Col de Joux Plane and a stage finish… stay tuned for updates tomorrow!

🚵 CHAMPIONNATS DU MONDE MOUNTAIN BIKE UCI 🚵

🤩 Les championnats du monde Mountain Bike UCI sont de retour aux Gets du 24 au 28 août 2022 pour une semaine f***e au rythme des entraînements, des compétitions, des animations et des concerts.

🚌 A cette occasion, deux navettes spéciales circulent entre Morzine et Les Gets, du vendredi 26 au dimanche 28 août inclus avec une fréquence de 20 minutes environ.

✅ Navettes gratuites au départ du Parking de Nyon à Morzine jusqu’à l’entrée du village des Gets.

We have been hearing a lot of stories of lost luggage buildup at Geneva this summer - it appears that these Apple trackers (or similar) are a very good idea. One of our guests found his bike in the baggage hall that way - while easyJet told him the bike was still in the UK!

Some are calling it the summer of lost luggage with daily stories of baggage claims swelling as suitcases get caught in a conveyor belt-shaped vortex that only seems to grow
