Here’s a quick summary of where we’re at re travel regs and testing this Sunday evening!

✅ Regardless of your vaccination status, if you’re aged 16 or over you’ll be asked to submit a negative PCR test performed less than 72 hours before your arrival in Switzerland. You’ll also need a Swiss passenger locator form but there are no further restrictions or quarantine requirements when travelling UK > Switzerland.

✅ You can land in Switzerland and travel into France without issues.

✅ On arrival in France, regardless of your vaccination status, travellers aged 12 and over will need to produce a negative PCR or anti-gen test taken less than 48 hours before departure. The anti-gen version cannot be a self-test that isn’t verified by a testing centre, you’ll find more detail on the specific type of test on our website (link below)

✅ Upon arrival in Morzine, Les Gets or Avoriaz you’ll find masses of snow, twinkling lights and happy faces ready to welcome you. It’s been too long! We’ll make your journey to the mountains worth it, we promise!

✅ Currently British teens aged 12-17 who haven’t been fully vaccinated will need to test each day at a local pharmacy to top up their pass sanitaire, which is currently a requirement for the ski lifts. There’s stacks more detail on this (including how to pre-book your tests) on our website.

✅ At the end of your amazing holiday, if you’re aged 12 or over you’ll need to pop to the pharmacy for an anti-gen test 48 hours before your return to the UK. You’ll also need to pre-book a PCR test to take before the end of day 2 on your return to the UK.

Lots of questions for the coming season …

Promise, we’re still working on all of your (several hundred) questions re testing teenagers during your winter holiday this year. There’s quite a few things in the mix and I want to make sure everything we post is helpful and real!

In the meantime, I made some updates to the “COVID-19 and travel to Morzine, Les Gets and Avoriaz this winter” article on our website this morning (link below) as more detail came through re the French entry testing requirements.

It’s super hard to answer all of your individual questions at the mo but I’ll keep adding detail to this specific web article as we discover more.

Exciting news for cycling fans as Morzine to host a stage of the Tour de France next July 2022 😃🚵‍♀️🚵🚵‍♂️

Morzine hosts a rest day and a stage depart of the 2022 , once again placing our little mountain village at the heart of the action. Le Tour is the most-watched annual sports event in the world, with an audience of around 2.2billion people. 👀
STAGE 9 - 10th July - Aigle (CH) > Châtel
REST - 11th July - Morzine
STAGE 10 - 12th July - Morzine > Megève

News!

GOOD NEWS for your Thursday evening! “This winter, we ski, the lifts will be open” said the French tourism minister today during a meeting of all the important people in the industry (no, not us 😝). “Today, the common law does not impose the sanitary pass on the ski lifts and we will continue like that” he went on to say (in French obvs, that’s my translation). As always, we’ll keep you posted on developments, right now I’m off to wax my skis! 📸 .ire

We’ve been waiting so long for this and it just brings out the biggest sunny smiles 😁😁😁

SUMMER IS ON! Double-jabbed Brits (of the English variety) (and their children aged under 18 when travelling together) can now holiday in , , or any amber list country without having to quarantine on return, commencing 19th July. You’ll need a pre-departure lateral flow test to enter France and another lateral flow before you travel home (these tests are available at pharmacies across our valley), followed by a PCR test two days after you return. Crikey it’s going to be roasting! 🥵😎

Holy moly, things are about to get very hot in the Alpes next week according to ! The first heat wave will arrive on Monday and Tuesday with temps up to 37 degrees. Stormy showers are predicted to break the heat on Wednesday before two further scorching days to end the week. Phew! Plenty of lake time is in order!
