We always book up quite early for July and August. So it is rare to be able to offer availability in July at this time of year.
However, due to unforeseen circumstances we have had a cancellation for July.

Before we list it on another platform we would like to offer it directly to our followers. I will list it elsewhere this weekend and it will most likely go quickly.

We have availability from 20th – 29th July (9 nights). You can book directly €5,000 for the 9 nights *or a minimum of 7 nights @€595pn.

The house sleeps 21, has a private heated pool, private garden with play area for younger children, covered outdoor seating and bbq area, 8 bedrooms (7 ensuites), games room, living room, dining room and kitchen.

It is the perfect location for family and friends to get together and enjoy a tranquil holiday in the French countryside.

Unfortunately we do not allow parties as there are neighbouring properties in the valley so we must respect their peace in the countryside.

🚴 🇫🇷 28 ans après son dernier passage dans la commune, la nouvelle s’est répandue et avant la réunion officielle sur le parcours prévue prochainement nous vous confirmons le passage du 🚴 🇫🇷 Tour de France à Ribérac 🟡🟢(caravane aux alentours de midi et coureurs en début d’après-midi (à confirmer))

D’ores et déjà ce que l’on peut lire sur l’étape : « 8e étape (8 juillet) : Libourne - Limoges
201 km. Seuls les sprinteurs les plus explosifs du peloton se battront pour la victoire à l'issue de cette 8e étape dont la seconde moitié sera relativement accidentée, avec une succession de courtes montées qui pourraient mettre un peu de pagaille. La dernière visite du Tour à Limoges avait été marquée par le succès de Marcel Kittel devant Bryan Coquard avec un écart infime de 0,0003 seconde. »

New Extended Opening Hours for Families - Early Bird Sittings

From Monday August 15th, our kitchen will be serving food 1230 to 1430 and 1830 to 2200 six days a week. Sunday opening hours for the kitchen are 1030 to 1500.

This week at Toutvent we are hosting a work retreat for a great team of remote workers.

One of the downsides of being a remote team is that physical interaction doesn't happen unless you make a dedicated effort to get the team together.

Sometimes things are better done in person. Also, retreats can be lots of fun and you get to know each other better.

This team have split their week and they are brainstorming and working for 3 days and enjoying the rest of the week chilling out, having fun and building relationships.

Our first guests of the season are coming to the end of their holidays. It was a really nice start to the season and they have been a pleasure to host. I am so pleased they enjoyed their stay and are hoping to return.

We still have some availability for June, September and October.

Due to a cancellation, we now have availability from the 31st July to the 10th August 2022!! It is our last availability for August.

Toutvent offers you spacious living accommodation for your holiday. The substantially sized property has a large kitchen, a dining room, salon and a lounge room with a pool table and a selection of games. There are 7 bathrooms to the 8 bedrooms. Our bedrooms are spacious and comfortable and can sleep up to 23 guests. The property also offers large private gardens set in the beautiful countryside, with views overlooking the Dordogne, with a 6 x 12 m HEATED pool set inside a private walled garden.

Toutvent, the former residence of President Mitterand is a 5-minute drive from one of the most beautiful villages in France, Aubeterre Sur Dronne, with its cobbled streets, river beach, and a monolithic church. Toutvent is less than 2km from the riverside beach of Poltrot with an outdoor restaurant, tree climbing and kayaking. The area is perfect for cross country biking and hikes. It is 50 mins from both Angouleme and Perigueux. The villages of Saint Severin and Aubeterre have quaint restaurants and shops and Riberac is a 15 minute drive, with multiple supermarkets, cafes and restaurants.

Le Président François Mitterrand 🌹(1916-1996), enfant, avait sa maison de vacances à Toutvent à 6 Km d'Aubeterre et il appréciait notre village. " A Touvent, tout est différent, ou presque, de Jarnac : le climat, plus chaud et plus sec ; la végétation, avec les coteaux plantés de trembles et d'ormeaux, les allées piquetées 
de peupliers, l'odeur de menthe qui se dégage des fourrés, l'accent déjà chantant et si caractéristique des Périgourdins (....) On prend la charrette pour descendre à Petit-Barsac où on fait les courses. On monte dans le break pour aller à Aubeterre, la petite ville et son église monolithe creusée dans le rocher où François, enfant, aime à méditer... " (Schneider, 2013, Les Mitterrand)
