Nice has great pebble beaches. However if you want to experience a nice sandy beach, you should be heading towards Ramatuelle. Keep in mind that although it’s only 72 km from Nice, it’s almost a 2 hr drive. Combine it with a visit to Saint Tropez or stay the whole day at the beach and enjoy the restaurants and bars on the beach.

Although it is not common to approach Nice airport from the east, it does give the best city views.

If you’re looking for some energy in January or February, come visit Nice for a few days. The temperature is around 15 degrees, warm enough to enjoy lunch on the beach.

Considered one of the most important orthodox buildings outside Russia, this cathedral is the result of the efforts of the Royal Family to satisfy the spiritual needs of the growing Russian population in Nice (around 1900). The cathedral was finished in 1912. It’s just a 10 minutes walk from the apartment.

Saint Agnès a small mountain village 35 kilometers from Nice. Expect to drive for 50-60 minutes. The French call them villages perchés. Go there for a stroll around the tiny village or a hike in the mountains and then go for lunch at restaurant Le St. Yves. The food is authentic local cuisine (27€ for a 5-course menu). The view is phenomenal.

After the commissioning of Tramway 2 (from the airport to Nice port) a lot of bus routes changed. Therefore bus lanes are transformed into bike lanes and give easy access to the city.

Tramway 2 finished this summer and takes you from the airport to Port Lympia. In the city center (Jean Médecin) you can change to tramway 1 and go to Libération.
