Join us for Grand Tours of Europe lasting from one to twelve weeks, travelling predominantly via rail, just as in bygone centuries when aristocrats made their way around Europe for vacations, to explore and also, to study. Just like they, you'll have your own staff on hand - namely a private chef, guide, translator and photographer all rolled into one to expertly guide you around some of Europe's
most desirable places as we retrace the footsteps of its most famous artists, musicians, film stars, inventors, foodies and fashionistas. Tours are for adults only, usually with a maximum of 8 guests per staff member, but you may book a private tour where you may bring children, and when possible, pets too. As well as using trains, we'll also travel by ferry, yacht, gondola, plane, helicopter, taxi, private chauffeur, rickshaw, tram, cable car, electric bicycle, on foot, etc... depending on what's best to explore each area, and the type of accommodation that we stay in. The places where we eat, the attractions that we visit and the activities that we partake in are planned according to individuals' preferences and budget, with 3 tiers available - Explorer, Classic and Deluxe. We'll go shopping in the same chic boutiques as Brits and Europeans do, and when your hostess isn't cooking you some delectable meals made from quality local ingredients (as she uses fresh free-range and organic produce whenever possible), we'll dine at places which have received great reviews. To avoid the usual tourist traps, we usually stay in private apartments, villas and suites which have cooking facilities + a pool, hot tub & BBQ, but this depends on the group size. When we do stay at private venues, your host will usually cook breakfast + one delicious meal per day, with the aim of eating al fresco as often as possible, so expect to eat breakfast out on your balcony or in the garden, followed by a picnic in a park or by the river for lunch, followed by supper from a restaurant, and the next day, whilst en route to doing some sightseeing and activities, we'll grab some brunch by sampling all the tasty food available from local bakeries, lively markets and their artisan producers, and street food stalls, then enjoy a warm swim and a BBQ at the beach as the sun sets. As everyone has different tastes and levels of appetite, when we eat out, everyone must pay for their own meals please.
