October is a stunning month to visit France and the Perigord Natural Park which surrounds Les Gites Les Palennes is no exception. There are so many gites that welcome pets, we made the decision from day one that we wouldn’t accept pets. So for those people with allergies or those that simply prefer it that way be assured that your home from home is a fur free zone 😊

What an amazing day today has been at Les Palennes! 😀 apart from the glorious sunshine and 27 degrees in our courtyard which led to lunch on the terrace, we have seen Kestrel, Buzzards, a Peregrine Falcon, a wood pe**er and the geese are making a return! Spring is well on its way - Come and see us, the gites, and all of us here are looking forward to seeing you 😊

We already have bookings for this coming summer, but we are always trying to find new ways to attract new guests and our first few weeks into January have not been idle, we are already planning a yoga retreat or two but wanted to also let you know about 4 or 5 great golf courses within 45 minutes from us, most offer 18 holes, club and trolley hire and we can even offer Huard to play a round with if only one of you plays and the other want to relax by the pool, we will even drive you there!. A round of golf averages between €40/47.
