Just under an hour from Le Maine au Cerfis this former bastide founded by the King of England and Duke of Aquitaine Edward I in 1284, this small city camped on a promontory overlooking the Gironde estuary was once a formidable stronghold, of which only a few sections of ramparts and the remains of a half-ruined mediaeval tower (white tower) remain.

🍇 As harvesting is coming, it felt obvious to highlight the cellar’s team - starting with Cyril. He arrived back in 1994 at Château Teyssier, and has been following the winery’s rise until becoming cellar master. What a climb! 👏
