Fayette is a comfortable and very spacious villa complex with private pool and an enclosed garden of 1 hectare located on the border of the Dordogne and Charente in the village Parcoul. The Villa is fully south facing, with a beautiful fenced pool of 6x12 m which is surrounded
by banana plants, inviting you for a swim. Fayette Villa has six bedrooms with three double beds, six single beds and a bunk bed, two shower rooms one with separate toilet (There is also a large family shower room and a seperate toilet in the Pool House)
There is a large kitchen with a linked dining area a and 20x 20 ft Lounge with flat screen TV and French and English sat TV. There is also a sun lounge with wood burner and with easy access to the pool. Equipment includes a dishwasher, washing machine, iron, bed linen, towels, cot, high chair, LiveBox satellite TV, and un-limited Internet
The Villa is located on the Charente Dordogne border about an hours drive from Bordeaux or Bergerac airports or approx. 50 minutes from Angouleme station. Just a few minutes walk away there is a swimming lake and beach & small water park with water slides, & other attractions
Nearby is Le Manoir de Longeveau a welcoming golf and tennis club with a multi lingual creche. There are several horse riding stables (There is one at Bors 15 mins away)
It an ideal walking area with many lovely well marked walking trails and with its quiet roads and lanes it is ideal for cycling. We have 8 Bikes at La Fayette that are available for guests and there are also Bike hire shops locally.
If you enjoy good food there are a wide variety of excellent restaurants to choose from, the nearest is in Parcoul just 1 km away Nearby are the famous Vinyards of Bordeaux, Bergerac and Cognac and the wine capital of St Emilion. Parcoul is very close to the river Dronne which has much to offer along its banks, great restaurants, pretty villages, a "sandy beach", small water park, fishing, canoeing etc.) The sights of the Dordogne can easily be explored including mediaeval towns like Perigueux, Brantome and the weekly market at Riberac. Bordeaux can be reached by car, use the park and drive and go by tram, buy an all day travel ticket for a few euros, or take the train at 7.30 am from Chalais station which is just 8km away. On the coast about one and half hours away are the unspoilt sandy beaches of Royan and Arcachon. MONTMOREAU

Aubeterre sur Dronne
In the southern Charente, close to the Perigord, Aubeterre sits high up above a bend in the river Dronne. Its charming narrow streets wind
through white stone houses and ancient buildings. Built in the shape of an amphitheatre this former stronghold is now officially classified as one of France's prettiest villages. There is a good variety of cafes and restaurants in and around the square. Chalais (just 8 KM away)
Pretty small town, Monday is market day when all the roads are closed to traffic. Built strategically on a hill dominating the town, is the Chateau du Talleyrand, originally a medieval fortress, the draw bridge is still in working order. It now hosts exhibitions and is one of the best places to eat in the area. The Chateau restaurant, Relais de Chateau, offers a gourmet menu and excellent service at great prices. Riberac
Just over 30 minutes drive away is Riberac. Every Friday w it hosts the biggest market in the Dordogne. There is a large area selling regional produce and wine, plus lots of arts, crafts and clothing. Angouleme
This is the pretty Capital of the Charente.Picturesque old town with a mix of shops and restaurants. Geant and Auchan hypermarkets are on the outskirts and 100’s of shops and restaurants in the historic centre. In the Autumn look out for the “ Circuit de Ramparts”, vintage motor cars from the 1920s and 30s racing around the old streets. Emelion
